The assassin's bullet was meant for Aria - silver-tipped and blessed with dark magic. Adrian saw it coming a fraction of a second before anyone else could react, throwing himself into its path without hesitation.It hit his body and he jerked as he grunted in pain.
"MY ADRIAN!" Luna's scream shattered every window in the compound as their protector fell, blood spreading across his chest. He choked and blood sprayed from his mouth all over Aria, who started to sob.
