Chapter1:MrRight

Bornie's POV

First thing I lost after university was love. It happened plainly, slowly and gradually, like the wind it was gone. You know how love is like. He came into my life when I did not expect him to. I was battling so many demons at the time, but I still kept a resting happy face. He came and sat next to me in the lab. I was doing nothing in particular. I had even forgotten I was busy with pracs. I was paying attention to my nails. I didn't even notice how long it had been that he was staring at me.

We started talking. Exchanging casualties and I ended up giving him my number. I wanted him to help me with the lab report. I had sometimes seen him in class but never really noticed him. Sometimes He would sit next to me, but I never paid attention to him, but something about him that day made me look at him differently. I started paying close attention to him and what He wanted to say. I needed the distraction after all. But overtime, he became more than just a distraction.

We started exchanging messages instantly. It was a Tuesday evening. We talked about the weather. Likes and dislikes. You know, first date things, but we were just instant messaging, trying to get to know each other better. So consumed by our lovely conversation, I didn't even notice the time passing by. Before I knew it, it was past midnight. What was this warm feeling I was having?

The week passed by so fast though, most of it revolved around school work, that Saturday came sooner.
