Chapter 6

Time seemed to freeze at this moment, then gradually stretch out. Liam was pushed back by that overbearing force, stumbling a few steps before barely stabilizing himself. He looked at the suddenly appearing Alexander, his face full of shock, confusion, and anger. "Who are you? What are you trying to do?" Liam's voice trembled slightly with fury, but he still took a brave step forward, shielding me behind him. Alexander didn't even spare him a glance. His blazing eyes, like two icy blades, were fixed squarely on me. The chill of his gaze seeped into my entire body, and it became difficult to breathe. I hurried to explain, but the words got stuck in my throat, and I couldn't utter a single syllable. Alexander's tone was cold, laced with a near tearing reproach. "What are you doing? Why aren't you home at this hour?" "I'm going home now," I quickly said, with only one thought in my mind: to escape this place immediately. Being caught by him while with Liam, even kissing—this was disastrous. I couldn't even imagine what he would do next. Alexander's eyebrows shot up high, his eyes brimming with fury. "I'm taking you home!" With that, he strode toward me, grabbing my wrist with hands like iron clamps. His strength was astonishing; I felt as though my bones were about to break. "No need, I can go back by myself." Startled, I tried to break free, but my resistance felt pitifully feeble under his control. At this moment, his seductive exwife also approached. She wore an expression of awkwardness and unease as she softly persuaded him, "Alexander, young people dating is perfectly normal. Ellie has grown up; let's not worry so much." Alexander abruptly turned his head and glared at her viciously. That glare, filled with fire, warning, and disdain, instantly silenced her. Her face turned pale, and she stopped in her tracks, shrinking back. "I'm sincere about Ellie. Please don't blame her," Liam's voice sounded again. Despite his fear of Alexander's overwhelming presence, he remained steadfast. Alexander finally turned his gaze to him, full of scorn and violence. "You?" He sneered coldly, his laugh dripping with disdain, then roared in uncontrollable rage, "Get out of my sight!" His voice was thunderous, his teeth nearly grinding in anger. The surrounding people, drawn by the commotion, began to cast curious looks under the colorful fireworks, whispering among themselves. Their eyes were filled with confusion and astonishment. To those unaware, this scene might look like a dramatic husband catching his wife in an affair. And I, of course, was the humiliated leading lady. "Who I am with is my freedom. You have no right to interfere!" I stood up straight, gathering all my strength to respond defiantly. My resistance seemed to ignite his fury entirely. "Freedom?" His face darkened, and without a word, he grabbed my wrist firmly and began dragging me toward his parked car. Wearing high heels, I stumbled as he dragged me, nearly falling. "Where are you taking me? Let me go!" I shouted urgently, an unprecedented fear gripping my heart. Alexander didn't answer me. He headed straight for a black Bentley, opened the passenger door, and shoved me inside as if discarding a lifeless rag doll. "What exactly are you trying to do?" I asked in panic, my eyes wide with terror. He ignored me, moving to the other side, quickly getting in and slamming the door shut. The car's interior instantly became confining and oppressive. Pressing a button, a divider slowly rose, completely separating us from the driver in the front. Then, he lunged at me. I scrambled to avoid him, moving toward the car door. But his movement was too swift; I had no time to react. Panic engulfed me, and my body trembled uncontrollably. He held me down tightly, using his knee to pin my legs and locking me between him and the car door. I could smell the strong, dangerous scent of tobacco and red wine on him. The image of Liam kissing me undoubtedly replayed endlessly in his mind. The notion of something precious to him being sullied by someone else had utterly driven him mad. "Are you insane? Let me go!" I struggled desperately under him, pushing against his solid chest with all my might. He laughed coldly, that laugh filled with madness and cruelty. "Don't you like men? I'll let you experience it properly." His large hand caressed my hair, holding my head firmly as he leaned closer, his cool nose brushing against my cheek in what seemed like an intimate gesture. Before I could react, his kiss came down like a rainstorm. That was no kiss; it was an invasion. Harsh and forceful, like a beast suppressed for centuries finally breaking free to unleash itself mercilessly. His hands also began to roam restlessly over me. I tried to speak to stop him, but he took advantage of the moment I opened my mouth to force his tongue inside. His kiss carried the spiciness of tobacco and the bitterness of red wine, laden with a sense of plundering and possession. In an instant, my mind went blank, leaving only humiliation and fear. Only when I was on the verge of suffocation did he release me slightly. "How could you kiss me?" I looked at him in alarm, tears streaming uncontrollably down my face. He roughly wiped the tears from my cheeks with his thumb, then leaned in again. In the dimly lit car, his handsome face resembled a devil in hell. Hovering near my ear, he declared his intentions with a calm yet commanding tone, pronouncing each word clearly: "I do as I please."
