  "Liam," Ayla said, her soft voice filtering through the packhouse as she entered the study, her arms clenched tightly about her chest. "Where are you running off to this late?"   Liam froze, his hand inches from his jacket. Slowly, he turned around to present a casual smile. "I'm just dealing with business; nothing for you to bother with.   This time, perhaps, had the arch in her brows and a flicker of hurt crossing her gaze; neither would go unseen by nobody. "You've said that a lot lately, but I've gotten to thinking you're not telling me something."   Liam blew out a sigh and dragged a hand through his hair. "Ayla, you know I wouldn't do that. I'm trying to find the triplets. Every lead I follow is for them, for you."   She heard her breath catch, and she took another step further
