I was exhausted, but every time my eyes began to close I would picture the eyes from that night staring back at me. I sighed before Hope popped into my mind. It was my first time hearing from her since that night and I was so relieved to hear her voice “shift”. And without thinking, I removed my pjs and shifted, laying back down on the bed.
