RINI POV
My eyelids flutter open and it takes me a second to realise I must have fallen asleep. It takes four full seconds before I start to get my bearings and make sense of where I am and what the situation is.
Suzie is on one side of me, her back is to Silas who is behind her, and turned to her in such a way it’s clear he fell asleep watching her. Even in his sleep his face has a sense of awe and contentment whilst turned to her, and I swear I will be getting to the bottom of what is going on there.
Rafe is on my other side, and he looks so much younger in his sleep, his red and gold-streaked hair tousled, his pink lips turned up in a sweet little smile. He isn’t touching me exactly, but his body is as close as you can get and I feel touched that he wants to be close to m
