RINI POV
I move as fast as I can out of class, feeling completely embarrassed and vulnerable as everyone watches me and starts whispering.
Honestly, what have I done to deserve this? I just want to be left alone!
Once we are out of the room, Lyall whirls back to slam the door and corner me against the wall.
“How long has Richards’ been bothering you?”
“How is that any of your business?” I returned.
Lyall’s eyes flashes violet for a moment and he moved closer to me. “My family is my business.”
I can’t help it, I snort. “I am not your family.”
His eyes flash violet again and he is so close I can actually feel him slightly vibrating. “How. Long?”
I push him back and he allows it, moving back a couple steps. “Since you made it clear I was insignificant, so… forever?”
