Chapter Two

994 Words
Raven got a call from one of her friends and had to leave before I had to explain what the problem was. In all honesty, I wasn't sure how she would actually react. Yes. We aren't actually blood-related but we were still family. She was my brother's daughter. I just f****d my niece! Shit! f**k! f*****g hell! I ran my hands over my face and through my hair angrily. What am I going to do?! And then it hit me... Why was I worrying? She didn't know who I was. It's not like she could tell her parents about me. I highly doubt she would anyway. I mean, how many girls tell their parents about the guys they meet and have one night stands with? Not many I'm guessing. I made my way over to the bathroom and had a shower. I didn't want to smell of s*x for the rest of the day. I got redressed and headed down to my study. I didn't want to think about this or her any longer. I had been working for a few hours when suddenly, Scarlett cane running Into the room. Looking up at her, I waited to find out what was with the rude intrusion. "Yes?" "Sir, your mother is on the phone." She told me, being the telephone out to me. I just looked at her. She knows I have been disconnected from my family, especially my mother, for a very long time. "Hang up," I said simply and returned my attention back to my work. She stood in front of me for a few minutes, waiting to see if I'd say anything else. When I didn't, she bowed her head slightly and left the room. I watched her leave and let out a loud sigh. Thinking back to that night, the night Scarlett told me about... Them. ~~flashback a hundred years ~~ "Good evening master Alexander". She said sweetly as I walked into the kitchen. I didn't often come in here, but I couldn't find Rose anywhere. " Have you see Rose this evening?" I asked her, casually picking one of the grapes out of the fruit bowl an placing it in my mouth. "Um... N-no sir". She was lying. I frowned and just stared at her " I-I mean I saw her before but-" "Where?!" She jumped when I yelled. "I saw her leave with Kane. I don't know where they went." I was FURIOUS! How f*****g dare she! I forgave her once. And now I found out she's snuck out with him?! "When?" My voice was dangerously low. A warning to her, to not lie to me again. She would already be punished severely for lying once already. "Not that long ago. Maybe half an hour". "What did you see?" "Nothing really... They were dressed up and came down the stairs, she leaned up and whispered something in his ear and then they left holding hands. That's all I saw." I nodded, taking in all the information before j dismissed her and sent her away. I knew she wasn't lying. I'd sense it if she was. This wasn't Scarlett being jealous, jealous that I had chosen Rose her. Rose was still messing around with Kane! Letting out a low growl, I stormed off back to my bedroom. I had to decide what to do with that lying slut. ~~~~ I sat back in my chair and thought... That night was the night that changed everything... Or at least because of that night. A strange thought accursed to me... She was already pregnant by then. She was carrying the baby that was the girl j had just had s*x with. Buzz-Buzz. Buzz-Buzz I picked up my phone and froze when I read the message. I had forgotten I'd given Raven my number... And now she was texting me. 'Hey, sorry I had to dash this morning. I really enjoyed last night. Thanks, R x' I sat rereading the message a bunch of times before deciding to reply. 'Hi. Yes, it was fun for me too..but it won't happen again. Delete my number, Raven. Goodbye' I debated actually sending it, but it was the right thing to do. Sending the text, I put my phone on silent. I didn't want to know if she replied. God, what a mess. I tried forgetting about her again but I couldn't. Why? Staring over at my phone, I found myself full of curiosity. Had she replied yet? I reached over and picked it up, but before I could look, sense got the better of me and I put it down again. What the hell was wrong with me. We're a family. She's my niece. f**k! I need to get out of this house. Even though it was only the afternoon, I decided to go to the bar and have a drink. It was basically empty, but I sat in my normal seat at the end of the bar, ordered my normal drink and hoped I would be able to drink enough alcohol to forget all the s**t. And then he walked in. I watched him for a little while before he noticed me, but when be did, he didn't seem to care. Ordering his on drink, he came over to me. "Well, well, well, Alexander Tavish." I took a sip of my whiskey before responding. "Hello, Christopher". " I haven't seen you in a while". Shrugging, I tried to make it obvious. I wasn't interested in talking and having a conversation with him. "How have you been?" "Been better." "Yeah, heard your life tanked after that b***h turned up" That got my attention. "Rose?" "Yeah. Heard she's your sister in law now". " Yep" "Not very talkative are you?" "What do you want man?" "Nothing. Saw you sitting. Thought we had something in common and-" "We have nothing in common Christopher". He soon shut his mouth and just left. What the hell was that about...
