Taehyung pulled up in front of Jade's office on friday afternoon. He knew the office close early but he had called ahead to find out if she was in. He doubted that he had missed her as he glanced at his watch. The near empty parking lot was a sign that the staff was heading for the happy hour venues in the downtown area or heading home to relax after a long week.
He waited in his car for what felt like hours. First he listened to music then chatted on his phone then pulled out the dreaded sodoku booklet he kept in his glove compartment.
It Jade didn't come out soon he had probably get tagged as a stalker. His stakeout was proving to be boring and uncomfortable. The temperature had dropped 10° as the sun had begun its descent. Halogen headlamps flickered on casting a series of spotlights on the almost empty parking lot.
He looked at his watch again an hour had passed maybe he had missed her departure or she had left early on an emergency. As long as you saw her staff still exiting he held out hope that she was there. Then he saw Jade's assistant. That had to mean that she would be out next.
Another 30 minutes passed. Now he wanted to go knock on the door. But at this late hour he didn't want to scare her. His hand rested on the car door handle as he weighed options. Then the entry door to the practice opened and Jade emerged.
Good grief, the woman was a workaholic. He grinned. What's not to like about that? he thought.
The wait, though, had made him ravenous. He turned on the interior dome light so she could see him. After opening the window he leaned out to address her." You work too hard".
"Taehyung?" She approached the car."what are you doing here?" Her smile disappeared, now eclipse by worry. "Are you ok?"
"I'll be find when you get in this car."
"Why?"
"I want to see you. Plus i'm starving. You kept me waiting."
She pointed across the lot to a blue convertible.
"What about my car?"
"Why don't you follow me?"
"Ok but you'd better feed me well."
"It will be a four-course meal."
"Appetizer, dinner, dessert. What's the other course?"
Jade counted it out on her fingers.
"Me. Now get in the car before i kidnap you."
She giggled and headed to her car.
Taehyung could watch her all day long. Damn she was to fine coming and going. He had no shame with his addiction to Dr. Park.
He led her out of the city limits to his home. She had never been in his house, but he was about to change that fact. Like his impulsive approach with the hot air balloon. He kept on the same unpredictable that it had work the first time.
On the long private road to his house he increased his speed. He looked into the rear view mirror. She followed staying a respectable distance behind him. It was nothing for him to hit 100 miles an hour on the mile-long stretch. But he'd be good he'd keep it at 75.
Finally he arrived and pulled in front of the multi car garage. She pulled in next to him with a squel of tires.
He stepped out of the car and headed to her. She popped out of her car. Took him by the collar and kiss him.
No one had surprised him like that since his last birthday celebration when the guys had Dale Earnhardt Jr. Walk into his office with a box of donuts.
Jade's mouth fastened on him, possessing him, taking ownership with the sensual exploration of her tongue. His hand slid up the sides of her slim body. Gosh, He wanted more.
She stepped back, c****d her head to one side and announced, "I'm Hungry." On that note she walk to the door then paused and turned. "Just letting you know who's really charge".
Taehyung's thumb stroke es his bottom lip, which still held on to the delicious memory.
He strode past her. "We'll see who's really in charge," he mocked, wiggling an eyebrow. He unlock the door for her. "Welcome to my humble abode."
"Nothing humble about a home that could house four small families." She walked into the foyer, openly gazing in awe at the soaring angle of the cathedral ceiling. The features had been photograph by several magazines on upscale home.
I figure this is my house until i get old and gray and gets shuffled off to a nursing home".
"You want to be a family man?" Doubt colored Jade's question.
"You make it sound like that's an odd thing."
"Nope".
"I do like kids.he stated.
"Okay."
She continued through to the living area. He noticed that the various framed photographs drew her interests. She moved from frame to frame not commenting.
"That's my Dad, You've met him"
"Where does he live?"
"After my mother left he retired and now lives in an apartment in Seoul. Says that he doesn't want to be bothered with having a mow lawns and make house repairs.
"Can't blame him. My father is a senior living apartment. He misses the family and our home but for the most part he's comfortable there".
Taehyung pointed at the single occupant of the next frame." That's my mother."
"You are a mix of your parents," her attention was drawn by another set of frame photos. And these are of you as a kid? How cute you look in that sailor suit. With the hat nice." She flashed him a thumbs up.
He grimaced.
"Wait a minute." She leaned close, picking up a picture frame. "You have a brother."
He nodded. "Had"
She looked at the pictures that started their age progression. Then there was only him at the solitary model in the photographs. She quietly put the frame down.
"Sorry"
"It was awhile ago." He forced lightness in his tone.He didn't want to go there.
He walked through and turn on the lights.
"
