Everly's POV The next day, I woke up to someone yelling outside in the hallway. I rolled over and covered my head with my pillow in hopes of drowning out the noise. However the tense energy that I felt forced me up. I groaned and tossed my pillow aside then got up. I stretched a little then made my way towards the door. Once out of my room I searched for Milo but I didn't see him anywhere. What sounded like a slap made my head snap back in the direction to the source of the yelling I'd heard earlier. I wasn't sure if it was my powers or just my own empathetic nature with others, but my own face was stinging, my cheek felt like it would bruise had it been me who was slapped. I cracked my suite door open, but thanks to the guards, I couldn't see a thing, so I widened the for open more. E
