In The End

The Beginning

CHAPTER 1

“This is your fault! You did this to me! If you’re looking for someone to blame look in the mirror!” Taiga shouted as he repeatedly kicked his mate, Hikari, to a bloody puddle on the floor. Hikari laid there silently wonder what happened to his gentle mate who used to care for him and protect him.

Suddenly he heard a small voice cry “Daddy what are you doing to mommy!?”. It was one of their twin boys, Yuuki, only 5 years old and he immediately knew what was happening. Despite hearing the little boy Taiga continued to assault and yell profanities at his mate while Hikari was trying to fight him off seeing that their son was frozen in fear due to shock. This sight gave Hikari a bit of strength and he managed to pull the Alpha’s leg causing him to trip and fall on his back. As quickly as he could Hikari stood up ran towards his son picking him up and sprinting into the little boys’ bedroom.

Yuuta, the second boy, suddenly woke up to the sight of his mother covered in blood and his little brother on his chest trembling with tears streaming down his face. The scene prompted Yuuta to release a blood curdling scream that could be heard throughout the old block of flats. Although weak, broken and bruised Hikari stood up hold up Yuuki with one hand and walking toward Yuuta with the other hand extended in an effort to calm his babies down. Hikari held his boys to his chest while sitting on the bed, he began to gently rock back and forth which caused the boy finally calm down and fall asleep. Hikari placed the boys gently on their bed, covered them with a blanket, kissed them both on their foreheads as if he was saying goodbye.

Hikari walked towards the locked door and placed his ear to the door to check if his mate was still in the flat, he stood by the door for 10 minutes just listening for any kind of sound, he heard no movements so he just assumed that the Alpha had left as he usually does when he has had his fill of beating up Hikari. Hikari slowly opened the as if anticipating that the Alpha would jump out and strike him again. Seeing that the coast was clear he crept into his room, which was down the hall from the boys’ room, closed the door as fast as he could and locked it. Hikari sighed in relief but that relief was short lived.

He turned around to switch on his bedroom light and there sitting in the darkest corner of the room was Taiga with rage in his eyes and a gun in his hand both pointed at Hikari. Taiga had been waiting for this moment the moment where all his troubles would go away and once his problems were gone, he would have his life back. Taiga stood up and slowly walked towards Hikari, Hikari frozen in fear could do nothing but wait for his impending end. When Taiga got close to his mate, he bent over just enough to whisper into Hikari’s ear “I should have known that an omega would be my undoing. My father was right all your gender is good for is spreading your legs for any Alpha with enough money and carrying our children.” Hikari stood their shocked not knowing what his husband meant but knowing that today was probably his last day alive, he heard as Taiga c****d the gun and before the loud band that would end it all went off Hikari said his last heart breaking words in a voice that would leave a lump in your throat and an ache I your heart “I have loved you to the end and I will continue to love you even after I died from your hands for whatever it’s worth I’m sorry for ruining your life.” Hikari squeezed his eyes closed in anticipation he had finally accepted his end, Taiga leaned on his shoulder indicating that he his rage was slowly subsiding.

 The two mates stood in this position for what felt like hours to them but just mere seconds in real life. Just as Taiga was letting go of the trigger a loud scream and shouting from the other side of came out from two frightened little boys “MOMMY OPEN THE DOOR PLEASE!!” as they were screaming, they banged on the door this startled the father and the next thing BANG!!!!! The gun went off, silence filled the room and Hikari fell into Taiga’s arms with his legs losing all sensation and his eyes feeling heavy he and said “I hope you get back the piece of your life I stole from you.” And he closed his eyes as if he was going to sleep.
