Vivian lowered her gaze and blushed. Her pulse kept on racing. A tremor ran down her spine as she thought about her actions. She had not planned on embracing Marcus, but she could not stop herself the moment she saw him.
“I’m sorry.” Vivian apologized again, her tone low. She looked up and locked eyes with Marcus.
Marcus smiled at her, his gaze soft. He had never seen her this flustered before. “Don’t worry about it, Vivian” He murmured, breaking his silence, “I’m fine.”
Vivian smiled, a sigh of relief escaping her lips as she saw that Marcus was not mad. She took a deep breath and pressed down on her raging emotions.
