Shadow syndicate:lex pov

1324 Words
I knew something was wrong with Young. We were almost like business pals until now. He blocked my calls, my messages were blocked. I couldn’t even spot him during the day’s meeting. So as a good boss that I am, I decided to check his house at night to see what was wrong. I got to his house by 8 p.m. It was night. I was a night walker, so I had to. Christopher Young—I met him two years ago during one of my business yacht cruises. We became friends and he ended up being my employee of shadow syndicate,my spy company.Typical type of guy who girls would love to f**k for a few bucks. Young, handsome, rich. His house looked eerily calm. I walked towards it and I noticed lights were being turned off, probably going to bed or maybe not, since I could hear footsteps coming closer to the door. I hid quickly behind the porch. I was going to check on him, but right now, my instincts told me to scram, and my instincts don’t lie. He came out dressed in black baggy trousers and a grey sweatshirt. He looked around suspiciously, and then he picked up his phone. “Hello? I’ll be there. Give me 20 minutes. Grey should wait till I’m here before the meeting commences.” He ended the call. Grey? The name of that Volkov son who I killed last summer. He’s my rival, not business rival. He just doesn’t like me, and I do not give a f**k. But he f****d up trying to breach my own security, my privacy. f**k, he had to be killed. I should have killed Grey also. Young stepped forward to where his car was parked. He hopped in, drove out, and then I did the same. Whatever Young did with Grey was my concern, and if it was about me, I wouldn’t mind losing pal tonight. Not that I cared much about social relationships. They were just burdens, and my company and motherfuckers like Grey are enough burden to shoulder. Young pulled over in an alley. It was dark, and I could barely make out his car from the dark road. But I couldn’t put on my headlights, especially when I stalked in from a distance. He got down and then walked through an abandoned warehouse. What the f**k was he doing there? Anyway… it’s with Grey. I know the f**k likes places that looked and smelled like s**t. I covered my nose as I passed through a sewage. I think young was perfectly oblivious of me being behind him, so self-absorbed. “Hello, Young,” a voice rang into the dark room, brightened with only five candles at each pillar. I hid behind a huge pile of polythene, probably a nylon factory. “You all wanted to start the discussion before me,” I heard Young say while sitting down on a red leather couch. “I wanted to. We couldn’t wait all night,” someone said. It was Gray Volkov. Bastard. “Why would you when I bring all information?” Young retorted. “You should know better than being late,” then Gray said. “Do you know how it feels to have lex watching your every move? he's just a dummy to feel no one can betray him. He’s been suspicious of me, so I gotta be careful,” Young said. Hm… so indeed he was a betrayer and he worked for Gray, or probably Volkov. No wonder Volkov got the codes to breach my security. So what are they planning now? Revenge? If so, they’ll definitely be at the receiving end. “What do you have today?” Gray asked Young as I watched him bring out something from his sweatshirt—a file. “This is all about his dark dealings,” Young said. I never knew I had files on who I f****d with. Then… then he’s been keeping tabs on me. Gray picked up the files, reading through. “Noel, Chan, but he didn’t kill them,” Gray questioned. Of course, I didn’t kill them. I only blackmailed them. They attacked me first. I had to put them in their place. “Of course, he doesn’t kill. Lex is probably still a saint, if only he didn’t kill your father,” Young said. But I’m no saint. "My blood boils when I hear that,” Gray said. And I couldn’t help but smirk. His blood should always boil when he remembers how I single-handedly killed his father. “Then what did he do to them?” Gray asked. “Bankruptcy is what he does best” Young said. My best “ So, I have all this information to bring him down” Gray said “ But you have to be careful, he'll find out once it's out that it is you…..Very true. “I know. He can do whatever he wants, but he won't harm me” Gray said…but that is where he's wrong. “You know, I think I should get going”Young said, suddenly standing up. “Just stay and let's finish this up”I said, stepping out of the shadows as I pulled my gun out and pointed it at Gray, while the other two guys pointed theirs at me. Young doesn't carry guns around. I advised him to, and I guess he'll ll need it now. “Oh, you are here” Young said while trying to be indifferent. His gaze was diluted with fear. “Gray volkov, Should have fed you to the hungry sharks like I did to your father, You are just like him, a loser trying to be a winner.” I laughed him off. “You devil bastard. What do you want now?” Gray asked, as I gestured towards the guys pointing their guns at me to drop their guns. “ Drop the guns. He's a calculative bastard who will kill me before any of you bullets touches his f*****g skin”Gray said as I smirked. Thank goodness he knows that I could kill him. “So, Young” I pointed my gun at Young, glancing at the others with my side eyes. “You betrayed me”. My tone became hard. “So, who do you think you are? Even God gets betrayed, you selfish bastard”. He charged at me. Selfish? I wasn't selfish. I paid him well. Gave me a good position at the company. What else does he want? “What didn't I give you young” I questioned. Not because I care to reconcile, but because I needed to know before he died. “Everything. Everyone knew you, no one knew me.” Young said, ….fuck, recognition. That's all it is. But before I could think twice, he suddenly pulled out a gun out of nowhere and shot at me. I moved the little, but it grazed my right cheekbone and I hid again “Come out, lex “Young sang slowly. “I never knew you were so dumb. You wanted recognition as what my employee cus It's only me…….It's only I that keeps your filthy ass rich. Or you wanted my position”. I laughed, saying as my voice echoed throughout the hall. I could hear his ragged breath. He was scared. “Talk all you want, you are not leaving this place alive. It's four against one” Young said. The only person leaving here is me, I said as I suddenly jumped out, grabbing Young by the neck. And I shot all three others. Not to kill, just one each bullet at their kneecaps. “You made a wrong mistake, Young” I whispered into his ear. “And I am not asking for forgiveness” Young retorted. “You better not” I laughed coldly as I dragged him out of the abandoned warehouse.
