After a lot of threats and maneuvering the pilots allowed me to board with the wolf in tow. The two different crews were resting in the main cabin with the flight attendant. She was an ex-agent that couldn’t work in the field anymore but could still be a part of the Agency. She claimed that hearing about Germany was what she wanted since she wanted to get a place there. I suspected that she just wanted to hear about the mission. HQ always used agents on the flights so we could be more comfortable and freer to speak since they had already lived the life we do.
She graciously allowed me to retreat to her cabin. All the planes the Agency owed were set up the same way with two cabins incase the attendants wanted to get away from us. Shortly after boarding I chose to seclude myself back here in order to relax in silence. The only one to follow me was my new wolf friend.
Attempting to relax into the uncomfortable seats with my eyes closed, I felt the same force building. My mind became a labyrinth again as I tried to place the memory. I don’t know how long I sat there trying to solve this puzzle. It seemed like no matter which way I turned I came to a dead end.
Frustration over took me and I opened my eyes only to realize that I was alone. I was about to get up and look for my companion when a man walked into the cabin. Standing about six foot five inches, he had a slight tan on his muscled body. Fresh jeans and new shoes were the only things he wore. My mouth went dry as I ran my gaze from his feet up his body. When I finally reached his face realization struck. His chocolate brown hair was wet and matted to his head. But it was his eyes that made me recognize the man from the cell.
“Sorry about the delay but trying to clean up in an airplane bathroom is almost impossible. How are you feeling chere?” His accent was barely noticeable until he said chere.
“Well don’t you clean up nice, even if it is in an airplane bathroom. Call me Angel please. I’m tired but fine.”
“Well Angel, fine doesn’t really cover you. Heart stoppingly gorgeous are the words that come to mind. Anyway, I was wondering if I may ask you a question.” He still hadn’t told me his name but for some reason he felt safe.
“Only if you tell me your name or would you like me to call you Wolfie?” I realized too late that I was being playful. The image of Anthony flashed into my mind before I banished it.
He chuckled and shook his head, “well aren’t you sassy. I’ll tell you anything you want to know, just don’t call me Wolfie. Name’s Jeremy, chere. Now please don’t think of this as rude, but what level are you?”
“Level?” Confusion leaked into my expression. “What do you mean? I’m a top-level agent if that’s what you want to know. And if you don’t mind, can you tell me what you are?”
“You don’t know what I’m talking about? Or even what I am?” He sounded just as confused as I felt. “What do they teach children now a days? You should have learned all about my kind from your mentor. Never mind. I’m part of the Lycan groups, canine class, and if I’m not mistaken your part of the wicca’s. Probably a kinetic class.”
“I have no clue what you’re talking about. I follow wicca loosely but I’m not a practitioner. And definitely not a kinetic class, whatever that is.” Panic started to lace my words as I continued to think about what he was saying. “I think I’m getting a headache.”
Jeremy sat on the floor in front of me and chuckled. Pulling me to his lap made my body tense and go rigid.
“It’s alright Angel. I’m just going to massage your neck and shoulders. Kind of like what you did for me in the car.”
I allowed him to place me between his legs but I was still tense. As soon as his hands touched my shoulders, my body reminded me how much I had abused it in the past twenty-four hours. The only problem was the shirt I wore was scratchy against my skin.
“Hang on a sec Jeremy.” His hands fell away as I removed the offensive cloth. “Please continue”
If I would have known that Jeremy touching my bare skin would send a shockwave down my spine, then I would have left the shirt on.
“What the hell was that.” I tried to pull away but he held me firmly in place with his hands on my arms.
“It only happens the first time we touch. It won’t happen again chere. If you touch anyone else that has a form of magic for the first time the forces have to identify each other. Once that happens, they’ll play nice after that.” He chuckled again and resumed the massage. “I’ll explain it all in detail after I get rid of this tension in your muscles.”
I wanted to argue but his hands felt like heaven on my skin. I allowed him to work on the knots that had built up over the last three months in silence. I could feel my muscles slowly unknotting. They seemed to stretch like a cat after a nap. My eyes fluttered closed as I reviled in the pleasure his hands produced. It felt so amazing that I forgot where I was and who was touching me. I rolled my spine from shoulders to hips to help my muscles release the tension and stretch. I heard a groan from the man behind me that brought me back from bliss.
“Chere you can’t do that. I was in that cell for a while and haven’t been able to touch a woman, let alone anything else.” His voice sounded barely controlled but like he was trying to keep that control.
“Sorry.”
My attempt at apologizing was in vain since my body betrayed me. My pulse quickened and my breath came faster. Jeremy growled low in his throat and pulled my body flush up against his. I could feel every detail of his body, he was rock hard and ready. I felt a rush of moisture between my thighs in response.
“We shouldn’t do this chere. Just say no and I’ll leave. If anything, else happens I won’t be able to control myself. I’ll take you right here, right now!”
“Jeremy, I…” My voice had come out breathy and laden with passion. I couldn’t speak and that’s not what I wanted anyway.
“Chere?”
I answered with my body. Laying my head back on his shoulder and rolled my hips.
“Are you sure?”
His control was about to shatter and his voice was strained. He was still giving me a way out even though he didn’t want to. I couldn’t stop, my body was craving a release. My breasts were aching to be touched. Pulling away from him and raised to my feet. He cursed under his breath in French. I couldn’t help but smile as I turned back to the man on the floor.
My fingers found the hem of the cami and slowly pulled it over my head. Jeremy watched as if he could memorize every movement and inch of skin I exposed. Tossing the shirt into a seat, I turned my attention to the skirt. Jeremy rushed to his feet and embracing me. Effectively stopping my hands from completing their task of removing the skirt.
“Sorry chere but I can’t take it anymore.”
“Angel? Are you…” Sara stood at the doorway holding the curtain that separated the two cabins.
“Sara, what’s wrong?” My voice was shaky as I tried to regain control of my hormones.
“I, uh, didn’t mean to interrupt but John’s on the video link and he wants to talk to all of us.” She blushed at the sight before her, “should I tell him you’re, uh, resting?”
“No Sara, I’ll be right there. Just give me a moment to compose myself.” She nodded and left. I groaned as Jeremy released me and handed me my shirts.
“Another time chere.”
Definitely.
We emerged from the back with clothing intact, unfortunately. John was already growing impatient.
“My apologies but I was trying to relax.”
“It’s alright Angel. I wanted to inform everyone that I locked down the Agency. All agents have been recalled and are on their way back. The pilots informed me that they will stop to refuel and then head straight home. All of you need to be on your guard when you stop. The handlers have been informed that two unregistered agents are returning with you. Angel they are going to be your shadows unless you need some alone time. If the need arises then three of your crew will be with them at all times. All of you be careful.” With those last words the screen went blank. John must be really worried if he’s instituting a lock down.
After our stop to refuel, which proved uneventful, we were on our way home. I had taken a seat next to Brooks on his insistence. My attempts to sleep were fruitless due to everyone peppering Travis and Jeremy with questions. Brooks was remaining unusually quiet beside me. My suspicions were already piqued since he had practically forced me to take the window seat he had been occupying. He also gave me his coat on the grounds that it would keep me warm in my state of undress. The curiosity that I had on his behavior was also preventing sleep so I opened my eyes and sighed.
“Can’t sleep?” he almost sounded like his playful self but there was too much tension to fool me.
“Too much noise and too many question that I don’t have answers for.”
“Too many admirers as well, I’d say.” He was speaking low so we wouldn’t be overheard.
“So that’s why you gave me your coat and seat? I was curious about that.” I kept my voice as low as his since this was apparently a private conversation.
“You are a little distracting dressed like this. Jake saw how the others, including myself, were staring at you. He warned Lee and I to keep our minds on business before we left. Sara had to smack Lee around a little before he got out of the car, which was quite funny. Then before you boarded Jake told me that I should keep an eye on you. You’ve gained more admirers than you think my dear.”
“Great, that’s all I need.” My eyes wandered to Jeremy, who was looking right at me with a small smile. I looked away quickly before I did something stupid. “When we get back, I need a hot shower and a change of clothes. One of my favorite meals would be wonderful too.”
“Well, I think we can swing that. Jake, Sara, and Lee can watch the new meat while you get comfortable. I will take your order miss and have it waiting in your room.”
“Well waiter, I’ll have the barbeque chicken with buttery mashed potatoes and a nice garden salad with Italian dressing.” I pretended to look at a menu and place my order in a restaurant as Brooks wrote down my order. It made me laugh.
“Right, anything to drink?”
“Water and a Pepsi please.”
“I’ll get that right out to you as soon as possible.”
“Thank you, Brooks, that sounds wonderful.”
“Anytime beautiful,” putting the armrest up in between us he pulled me closer. “You need to try and sleep Angel. Use me as a pillow and I’ll keep you safe.”
“I’ll try.” Snuggling down into his shoulder my exhaustion overtook me so I couldn’t protest. I wasn’t sure how this was different from my attempts before but I felt the familiar pull of slumber calling to me.
