CHAPTER 28 “SLOW DOWN! Mummy can’t keep up!” Roz pounded along the pavement as fast as she could, keeping an eye on Jimmy as he pedalled furiously along in front. Not too far ahead she could see the usual group of mothers and children walking to school along the footpath; she recognised Alice’s red hair in the midst of the group, who was holding the hand of an equally flame-haired small girl.
