I woke to the sensation of warmth and a steady heartbeat beneath my ear. I slowly blinked my eyes to clear my vision. As I stirred, I realized my hands were resting on a broad, firm chest.
As soon as I realized that, my eyes fluttered open and widened in shock when I saw Dante's face just inches from mine.
His slow and warm breath hit my forehead making my heart to race. The closeness was ……… intimate.
His arms were wrapped around my waist, holding me close. My heart skipped a beat, and a rush of panic surged through me. Did something happen- before I could assume anything, flashbacks from last night hit me.
It took me a good two minutes to process everything. I could feel his hard muscles beneath my palm and I gulped.
