Hello, Honey II

The previous day. After Finn dropped Camille some meters away from the Whitmore's mansion, he was proud of himself for having managed to turn things around and make Camille believe that she was to blame. He thanked God for his sharp mind, if not for that everything would have crumbled. He drove home with the speed of light and burst through just when Kelvin had finished making dinner. “Kelvin!” He exclaimed. “Thank you.” The latter nodded. “How did she suspect me? God, that b***h! She's gonna be the death of me!” “She most likely linked your device location to hers.” Kelvin explained. “And she says you've been acting weird.” Finn drew in a sharp breath. “Just two more weeks to her due date and I won't have to endure all of this any longer. If she doesn't deliver between that period, I might take things into my hands and make her have an operation.” Kelvin said nothing. Finn turned to him, laughing. “You really are something, Kelvin. I always knew you had it in you!” Kelvin swallowed his food and asked, “What are you talking about?” Finn slapped his arm, still laughing. “Tell me, how did she taste? You got to kiss her before I could.” “Oh.” Kelvin's mind was forced to relive that moment. If he was being honest, he had lost control and wouldn't have stopped if she didn't pull away. “Well?” Finn probed. Kelvin thought otherwise and said, “I didn't enjoy it. She's a bad fruit.” “Really?” Finn hissed. “You looked like you were enjoying it.” “No. I only did it to save you. I had to pretend to be enjoying it.” He explained further. Finn nodded but contrary to Kelvin's hopes of Finn leaving Karen alone, Finn said, “I'll have to see for myself then.” Kelvin stopped eating. “See what?” Finn walked away from the dinning and crashed into the nearest couch. “See how she tastes.” He answered absentmindedly. “Her voice is angelic, her lips are soft and small, easy to clinch, she has magnetic eyes too, I love looking into them.” Kelvin immediately felt unsettled. It wasn't the first time Finn was having his usual flings and deceit but this was the first time he had ever spoken about any woman this way and it certainly unnerved Kelvin who had thought Finn would leave Karen alone after what had happened. But, why did he care this much? Did he also feel the same way Finn does after meeting Karen? “Finn, it's best you leave Karen to avoid situations like this again.” Finn's eyes were closed but there was a visible grin playing on his lips. “You sound possessive.” Did he? Kelvin left his dinner and crossed over to Finn. “What other excuse will you give to Camille when she finds you with Karen again?” Kelvin strained for Finn to get his point. “We'll go with the plan.” Finn answered, after a long day, he was already feeling sleepy. “What plan?” “She's your girlfriend remember?” “Finn-” “I'll keep seeing her under that pretext. Unlike Camille, that troublesome woman, Karen will be obedient and easy to subdue.” “Finn, you're taking this too far. After seeing what happened today, I don't think Karen will want to have anything to do with you again.” Finn smiled. “She still has a lot to do with me, Kelvin. Have you forgotten that I always have a card up my sleeve?” With that, Finn settled comfortably on the couch and was prepared to drift into lalaland. “My father has called for a meeting between my brother and I tomorrow.” He drowsily said. “I bet it's regarding the wife and heir hullabaloo.” He chuckled. “That's why I need Karen, Kelv, don't you get? I can't possibly take Camille who is already engaged to Adrian and is even carrying his baby.” “That baby is for you, Finn. Are you abandoning it?” “Goodnight, Kelv.” ….. Current day. Elliot's POV “Remember not to provoke your father, no matter how mad you get, sir.” Austin advised as he fixed his boss’s tie. He continued, “Avoid a fight with your brother as much as you can. This meeting might as well be to infuriate you and cunningly hand over the properties and inheritance to Finn.” Elliot sighed. “What more must I do? It's already becoming frustrating doing everything you ask. Yesterday, you made me take a flower to Serena.” “And did she sign the contract?” Austin asked, giving Elliot no room to object further. “I have served you for years, sir and I still am. I won't ask you to do anything that will harm you. All of this is just for seven months, after which your father dies and then you can do as you please.” “You'll have nothing to worry about your inheritance being taken away again after that.” Austin ended. “You're right,” Elliot nodded. In another minute, they were on their way to the Vance's estate. Elliot took countless breath, reminding himself not to get provoked by his father or brother. With that, he easily walked into the room where Finn and his father were already seated. There were no greetings and the atmosphere was cold and tense. “You're late.” Mr Vance started. “I’m here now, aren't I?” Elliot replied. “Let’s not waste anymore time and get started.” It wasn't until these words were out did Elliot remember that he shouldn't get provoked. His reply was typical of the cold and aloof man he is. To get through this situation of a wife and an heir, he needed to drop it. Mr Vance began. “As you both know, I have withdrawn the properties and shut down your access to any of the Vance companies. I have only left your own individual company, Elliot, since it doesn't yield much and you built it yourself.” “And me?” Finn spoke. “Do I have any property or company for you to shut, father?” Mr Vance cleared his throat. “You failed to acquire any, Finn. Let's not go back to that.” Finn chuckled and rose. “If this is a discussion about companies and properties, I shouldn't be here, as the man who calls himself my father did not leave me with any. Instead, you made me work for Elliot!” “Stop making unnecessary issues, Finn.” Elliot's cold voice reverberated in the room. “You know very well that you were given nothing because you failed to earn it. Sit your ass down and let's finish this.” “What?” Finn smirked. “You think you can talk to me that way simply because you're his favorite? We both don't have anything to our name right now, that also means I no longer work for you. Talk to me like that again and see if you won't regret it.” Elliot squeezed his fist. He remembered to breath. Finn made to leave. “If you leave, rest assured that I will expose that drug cartel business you are running Finn.” Mr Vance threatened. Finn stopped in his track and wondered how the old man knew. “You are using that young boy to import and export drugs, aren't you?” Finn squeezed his fist. “Do as your brother have asked and sit your ass back down on that chair.” Mr Vance angrily ordered. Finn had no choice. The money gotten from Camille and Adrian was what he used to fund his drug cartel which was done in secret however, his father somehow knew about it. Just when Mr Vance opened his mouth to continue, Elliot's phone began to buzz on the table. He casually picked it without looking at the caller ID, and completely forgot that he had set the phone on speaker. In the echoing room came a woman's voice. “Hello, honey.”
