I had the confirmation by six in the morning.
Not through the channel I had been waiting on. That channel, as the woman on Ravenna's call had correctly predicted, went silent sometime before dawn — Daven Holt's contact within the eastern logistics branch stopped responding to check-ins at approximately four AM, which was either the coincidence of a man who had gone to sleep early or the precision of someone who had been told that the window was closing and had acted accordingly.
It was not a coincidence.
