Prologue

Destiny is a thing attached the moment we are in this world for the first time, the moment air enters our lungs filling us with desire to hold on tight to this magnificent yet chaotic place we call universe. The destiny wanted them to meet,  because it knew they both needed it. They both needed each other.  They were lost souls that the destiny wanted to meet. A lost item waiting to be found. And they were each other's lost souls. Each other's lost item. It has been a few months since her life has taken a huge turn; something she desired in such a young age became true in unexpected events, but deep down she knows it sounds egotistic to only care about yourself when having the force and opportunity to care for others, about the ones you keep safe in your heart, pain and love are unavoidable, inevitable, unforgivable after all. A life without emotions even if they are bad ones shouldn't be called life at all. She knows that perfectly. - "You know, they say to never come this far of the Faltonal Shallows without sending a permission to the one who owns this border," this person said behind my ear, I put up a fierce face to show I am not afraid. "So, what brings you here, princess?" He asked and tucked the hair falling from my face behind my ear. He was wearing a black cloak with a hoodie that covered his face and only his perfect set of white teeth are visible. How can someone have this white of a teeth? It might be whiter than mine. "I just wanted to know who saved me from drowning," I'm surprised my voice came out fierce at this point. "I want to send my gratitude, by giving fruits." I replied and showed them a basket full of fruits. I can hear his enticing low chuckle from behind, then suddenly, he was right in front of me before I knew it. He took the basket and ate the apple in it. "Mhmm, but I'm afraid a basket of fruit is not enough, darling." "Then what more do you seek?" I asked. And I could see he was no longer smiling or smirking, then he slowly walked in front of me. For some reason my feet could not move. Then slowly he reaches his hand to my face and slowly caressed my cheek and moved closer until he was near my ear and I could feel my breath hitched. "You'll come for me when I need you, yeah?" I did not know what to do and slowly but surely nodded my head. "I need words, love." "Yes, I will." I said with a firm voice to let him know I was serious. "Too bad I don't trust anybody dear," he said and then he held out his hand expecting me to hold it and I did. He said some words and now I have known he was doing the unbreakable vow. "Thou shall fulfill the promise of coming back when I need them. Until then, the vow will break when I say so." He said the last words and let go of my hand. "Now, I'm certain you'll come for me when I need you." was his last words and vanish into the air. Now I have left no choice but follow his orders until he breaks the vow of saying I am no longer need for I have fulfilled my duty. I sighed loudly as I gripped the roots of my hair out of frustration while walking back towards my horse who did not bother to cross the border. He had sensed me and he was jumping happy knowing I was still alive. I climbed into him and looked at the forest one last time, before putting up my hood. As I went away riding my horse I heard his voice in my head, "A mark will appear on your wrist, a sign that I am needing you or I need you or your help. Until then, princess." Good, look what I have done. A princess like me?! Has become a slave or whatever it is on the kingdom's most hated, feared, but respected person. Oh my god, even in this story I am still stuck on trouble. PLEAS READ‼️ P.S. I have forgotten to mention that in the book that she was "trapped" in, the year or time period occurs in the early seventh century. ~*~ A/N: Hello this is my first ever story and I hope you're going to love it!
