Teresa reading the result was surprised “how could this be?" She said observing it carefully, looking at the doctor in charge she sighed. " Doctor Steve took the test himself, so honey since it says here that you are 12 weeks pregnant, it means you are indeed 12 weeks pregnant"

(Laughing) "Are you cracking a joke or something? How can I be pregnant?"

"I should be the one asking you that darling"

"Mom!"

"Okay, there's no need to get too excited. It would hurt your baby”

"Mom!" Selom shouted " you know better than anyone else that I cannot be pregnant, I haven't being with any guy my whole life and getting here i am told the news of being pregnant? No way! I have asked them to take another test. If it takes a million test to get a negative result then trust me I would undergo the whole process"

(Laughing) "Really?"

"Mom! What's funny?" She said with a tight frown. She had called her mom over to help out but it seems finding a way out would be very difficult.

“What happens if you still don't get a negative result?" Teresa asked with interest to know what her answer would be.

"Then I would sue this hospital" She said sounding very confident

(Laughing) " Really?"

"Yes mother, I ain't joking, I'm very serious" she said with a serious face.

(Laughing) "On what grounds?"

"On the ground of issuing out a fake result"

(Laughing) "I thought you wanted suing them for getting you pregnant" Teresa said holding her stomach in laughter, in such a situation she knew her daughter needed all her focus and seriousness but she couldn't help it at all.

"Mom, this is a very serious issue and here you are making a mockery of me" she said frowning.

"Selom darling you are already a grown woman. You're already 24 years old. I wouldn't blame you if you just come out clean and tell me the Truth about who got you pregnant"

"Mom, I seriously don't know at all," she said, sounding very confused.

"How come you didn't let me know when you missed your period?" She asked

"I have been so busy that I didn't notice it myself. Mom, you know me far better than anyone else and you know I have never been with any guy"

Teresa didn't doubt her daughter's words at all. She knew Selom and knew that her daughter wouldn't do such a thing. But she was confused, if her daughter didn't have a s****l i*********e with the opposite s*x then how could she be pregnant? All she could do was to wait patiently for Doctor Steve.

Few minutes later, Doctor Steve came into the ward with the test results. Seeing Doctor Teresa, who was his senior he paid his respects. "Steve, it's so good to see you. I heard you had travelled abroad to advance in your studies. I'm so happy for you. I never knew you were back already. How have you been?" She asked

"Senior, I have been well" he said looking at the lady who was lying on the bed "Ma'am the result still came out positive" he said. Looking at his senior and the woman who wanted to do a million test, he felt a change in the atmosphere but he couldn't ask any questions. But something told him that both women were related.
