Mark and Riley reconciled, through a handshake and immense apology that Mark had been longing to do ever since. He had waited for so long to meet one of Quartz's family members and now that she was were, if she would ask to kiss her feet and fall on his knees, he would, just to get her apology for killing her brother.
But that's not what happened, instead, it was the complete opposite. Riley was the one who stood up and lent her hand to him, telling him how sorry she was for wishing him dead as well with her brother and for putting himself inside the fifth division to fulfill his friend's request which he had a choice not to pursue but he still did.
That alone was appreciated by Riley, so she did the thing, she reconciled with him to ease out the heaviness and guilt in his heart.
