After spending time with Driven and his family, Mathew felt something shift inside him. It was strange, in a way. He had only met Briar briefly once before—at Driven’s wedding—but actually sitting down and talking with her was different. He got to know the woman who had married his best friend.
Meeting Michaela for the first time was amazing.
Still, Mathew couldn’t help but notice how strongly Michaela resembled her mother. She had almost nothing of Driven in her features.
