Driven Point of View The early morning sunlight slipped through the bedroom curtains, casting a warm golden glow across the room. Driven slowly stirred from his deep sleep. He blinked several times before rolling onto his side, only to discover the other half of the bed was empty. Briar was already up; her side of the bed was empty and cold. He let out a heavy sigh, rubbing the sleep from his tired eyes as he sat upright on the edge of the bed. The house was quiet, except for the faint clatter of dishes coming from the kitchen and the unmistakable aroma of breakfast drifting through the hallway. A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. Today was the day. His daughter was finally coming home. The house had felt entirely too quiet without the blue-eyed princess running around. I
