The drive back was mostly silent. We were riding in a black sport model Jeep, which belonged to Ethan. My god grandmother car would be driven back, by one of the three men he had brought along with him.
I had only realised, that he was not alone, when we exited the inn, to find his men waiting in the carpark on him, leaning aganist the Jeep.
They had glance at me curiously, sniffing the air around us. A threatening growl from Ethan, had put a stop to that.
I sigh, probably for about the third time, a few concerns, weighted heavily on my mind. My left hand, was currently enfold in Ethan's large right one.
"What's wrong mi amor?" he asks glancing at me, then takes my hand to his face and kisses my palm.
"I'm just unsure about us," I say softly to him.
Ethan lets go of my hand, and abruptly pulls the vehicle to the side of the road. He puts it in park, then turns in his seat to face me.
"What is it, that you are unsure about exactly?" he asks slowly.
"I ahem.. I don't know. What we are now?" I say in a small voice, feeling all nervous.
"What do you want us to be?" Ethan asks, instead of answering the question.
What do I say? I wasn't sure. I knew without a doubt that I wanted to be with Ethan, but did he also want to be with me?
"Are we boyfriend and girlfriend?" I blurt out quickly, hiding my face with my hair. Ethan prefered it loose and free, so I hadn't plait it before we left.
"If that is what you want, then yes I am your boyfriend," he tells me, moving aside my hair from my face.
"Yes, I am your girlfriend too," I say beaming a smile at him, feeling that everything in the world was just about right.
The clouds move and a sun beam hits the Jeep, lighting it up like the fourth of July. I swear I could hear birds singing, and these words came clearly and true
It's him, he is the one I was made for.
Ethan lightly kisses me, than we continued on with our journey home.
Home. This is the first time, I have thought of Bluemoon town as being home. I kinda liked it, and hope that things would change for the better, when we got back.
We spent the rest of the drive, getting to know each other better. I learn that Ethan had one older brother, which was the Alpha King Zain, who had taken over the title from his father the previous King Marcus. Their parents the former Alpha King and Queen, were travelling the world, and should be returning home soon.
Apparently, King Zain was to choose a mate on the first blue moon for the year, which was two weeks away. Suitable unmated werewolfs, from all over would attend the ceremony, which woman in the world wouldn't want to be queen, Ethan had snickered distastefully upon saying it.
If what my god grandmother had told me was true, then Ethan hadn't found his mate either, does that mean that he might select me as his choosen mate.
I know that it was too soon for that, but I don't know what I would do if he found his mate. From what I read, the mate bond can be real intense, unbreakable, even by death.
We pulled up at the guard booth, as the sun was setting. I noticed a different guard from the previous one, the barrier lifted and Ethan drove through, with the mercedes still following behind.
The town seem busy as usual, with people bustling about and kids playing. We drove straight pass my god grandmothers house, and up to the castle gate.
"Where are we going?" I ask him with a frown
"You will be staying closer to me, from now on," he informs me looking straight ahead.
"But why?" I ask, still trying to understand.
"I don't want you running away again, plus it would be better if you were with kids your own age," he advises me.
So I am a kid again to him! A kid that apparently needs to be babysit!
We drove through the heavily guarded black gates but instead of driving to the front of the castle, we drove around to the back of it, which has a few smaller houses sprawled about.
We pulled up to the larger of them, a brown and white bungalow two story house, with lots of windows and surrounded by wide white verandas.
"Does my god grandmother knows about this?" I huffed out, flinging my hands up in the air.
"It was actually her idea," he says solemnly.
What he says stuns me, this was probably my punishment for running away. She didn't even want to see me first.
Throw me to the wolves, will ya!
Ethan opens his door and gets out the vehicle, I stay seated not liking this change one bit.
The front door opens and a young girl, not older than eighteen bonds down the steps. Her shoulder-lenght black hair was plaited in two. Her tall slender figure was clad in blue shorts and a white t-shirt.
Her cruious bright blue eyes, glances to me.
She greets Ethan respectfully with
"Good evening Beta."
"Good evening Adeline," I hear him reply.
Ethan leaves and comes over to my side and opens the door.
"You need to get out," he orders authoritatively.
I get out on shaky legs, looking at him pleaingly.
"Please, I don't want to stay here," I whispered.
He ignores my plea and slams the door shut. He pops the trunk and takes out my black bag, which he hands over to me.
"Adeline will show you around. She knows what to do, if you need anything ask her," he tells me coldly.
My heart drops, where was the warm, caring Ethan from earlier.
"Good evening Miss." Adeline says to me.
"It's Angelia," I tell her my name reluctantly, it was preferable than being called Miss.
I see Ethan turns on his heels and gets back into the Jeep. He drives to a house further away, partialy hidden by some trees.
He is really leaving me here? I thought to myself, as I see him disappear inside the house.
I turn back to Adeline, noticing her pitful eyes on me. She quickly changes her demeanor and smiles at me warmly, them says
"Come with me, I will show you your room."
"I already have a room, a nice one too" I tell her angrily as I was sure everyone in this town knew who I was by now.
"If it was soo nice, why did you run away?" she asks logically.
"You wouldn't understand," I say feeling sorry for myself.
"Try me, you might be surprised," she offers the olive leaf.
Could I really have a friend here? I wondered.
"I'm tired and hungry, maybe another time," I say quickly, not wanting to offend her.
"Another time then," she repeats, leading me into the house.
A short tour of the house was conducted. There was a large foyer, with stairs leading upstairs. Several rooms led to various areas, a decent living room/ playroom, a large industrial style kitchen with an attached dining room, with the longest table, I had ever seen. It could fit at least thirty persons in one go. A library filled with books was tucked away in a corner of the house, plus two half baths made up the bottom floor.
We pass numerous teenagers during the tour, a few faces familiar from school. They all stopped whatever they were doing to stared at us.
"What is the human doing here?" I hear someone asks, not even discreetly.
"Beta Ethan orders," Adeline restorts, leading me upstairs.
We pass a series of closed doors on both side. She finally stops at the last one, and opens it.
"Beta Ethan says to place you in this room," she tells me smiling "It's the nicest room and has its own bathroom, and even a small balcony," she opens the french doors leading to the balcony.
The room was nice, it was painted in the same lilac and rose colour tone as my bedroom, with a large canopy bed, matching pink side tables with white lamps standing on them. The bathroom was white, bright and clean.
"I will go bring dinner up for you, so you can get an early night's rest," Adeline tells me, closing the bedroom door behind her.
I drop my bag to the floor, exhaustion taking over, and plunked onto the bed closing my eyes.
Fresh cool air blew over my body, opening my eyes, I see the curtains blowing wildly in the wind.
Slugishly getting off the bed, I walk towards it, closing in the french windows, my eyes glances out before me, when I see Ethan's house lights up in the distance.
Making me feel more alone, than ever!
