It was a lovely bedroom, with a large oak canopy style bed in the middle of it. The room was painted in the lighest shade of lilac, and the trimmings was in rose gold. At the corner by one of the the french windows, was a cream love seat, with throw cushions on it. A rose colour vanity desk, was placed close to the large bay windows, with a matching padded bench. "It lovely," I answer her truthfully. I see her face lights up, she seemed pleased by my answer. "There is a balcony, outside these french windows," Ms. Anna tells me, which she proceeds to open. Peering outside, I see a few other houses, and the woodsy area behind each house. I guess these villagers, really enjoy nature. Next thing I don't make it out of here, and they use my body as a breeding machine. These crazy thoughts, run through my head, giving me a slight headache. She closes back the french windows, then walks over to a white door, which she opens to reveal a lovely large bathroom. It too was also decorated in pink and rose gold. A huge crawfoot tub sat in one corner, and a large shower cubicle was next to it "Do you need my help, with your unpacking?" She asks me, looking at my luggage, laying on the floor next to the closet. "No, I should be fine. Thank you, for welcoming me into your home," I tell her with a sincere smile. "We are family, although not by blood. Your mother is my goddaughter, and that makes you, my grand goddaughter," she explains. She gives me a hug, pats my head and then walks towards the bedroom door, where she pauses, to say "Dinner is at six, you can take a rest, as I am sure you must be tired, after that long drive and meet me downstairs in the dinning room later." "I will do just that," I answer tiredly, yawning. The exhaustation of the trip, catches up with me, and I feel my body slowing down, from jet lag. She closes the door behind her, and I finally breathe a sign of relief. I was finally alone to do what I wanted Frantically, I search in my carry on bag, for my cell phone. Locating it, I quickly dial my mother's number. After about four rings, she finally answers "Hello dear, I see that you have reached safely." "Yes mom, I did," I answer her. "I have a few questions though. Is this place a cult?" I ask waiting with bated breath, for her answer. "They may seem cultish, but it is not a cult," she tells me assuringly. Now, what kind of cryptic answered was this, I wondered. The feeling of a headache coming on, again. This trip was stressing me out, it was supposed to be fun. I was away from my mother clutches, which teenagee wouldn't enjoy that. Except, that I was in the middle of nowhere. "Mother, why did you really send me here?" I demanded, getting upset with her. The phone line went silent for a while, and I began to wonder, if we had a bad line and got disconnected. "It was finally time," she finally answers. "You will be eighteen, in couple of months, and this is part of who you are." "I don't understand, please tell me why, I had to leave my school and friends to fly all the way here? You have never really explain," I grilled her. Silence again. "Honey, you will be safe there. This is my home, its where I come from. The only family I have left is my godmother Anna, and she wanted to see you before she died," my mother tells me, trying to invoke my pity. "You could have sent her pictures, or video chat, but Nooo, you decided to uproot my life, and send her a whole human instead," I yell at her, with tears running down my face. "I know everything seems hard, to understand right now. I had to do this, it is for your benefit. I love you very much," she says, sobbing herself. We both chat for a little more, then say our goodbyes. I was still clueless about the real reason, for my being here. I take out my toiletries bag, from inside my carry-on luggage, and walk into the bathroom. I neatly stack away my hair, face and body products, onto the shelves next to the facebasin. I walk back into my new bedroom, and unzip one of my luggage cases, pulling out a pair of red lounge wear, which consisted of just slik shorts and navel breaker top. Flinging them on the bed, I quickly unpack the rest of my clothes. Hanging away my dresses in the walk in closet, I pack the rest in the dresser drawers. While packing away my undies, I notice that I could not find the matching panties, for my red bra set. I have a pet peeve, for wearing matching sets, and I could have sworn I packed it. "Oh well, guess I didn't pack it, after all," I muttered under my breath. Pulling out a blue set, of undies to wear instead. I pin my hair up high, on my head as not to get it wet in the shower. I take a quick bath, and dry my damp skin, with the large fuffy I found on the rack. I dressed in my lounge wear, unpinned my hair and climb into the big bed. I lay my head back on the pillows and must have dose off to sleep, on this incredibly soft comfortable bed. The sounds of knocking, halfway wakes me from my deep slumber. I lay there for a moment, with my eyes still closed, trying to wake up. I open my eyes, when another knock sounds. Looking around me, I did not recognize the room, or the bed I was laying in. It all came back to me, the long plane ride, then the almost two hours car ride to this strange place, I was now living at. I get off the bed and walk towards the door, opening it, there stood my grand godmother. She wanted to let me know, that it was time for dinner. I hurrily change out of my lounge wear, exchanging it for a blue baby doll dress, reaching right above my knees. I wash my face, glancing at my reflection, my single braid was still neat, and my face looked rested. I leave the bedroom, closeing the door behind me. I walk down the corridor, heading towards the staircase and jog down the stairs. I try to recall the location, of the dinning room, and found it on my second try. There she sat at one end, of the five piece teak dinner table, waiting on me. She guesters towards, the empty dinner plate opposite her. "Sit please. Lets eat." she tells me with a wide smile. I sit down opposite her, and begin filling my plate with food. I was starving, I hadn't eaten anything, since the plane ride. I begin stuffing my mouth with food. There was grill chicken, with garlic mashed potatoes and a creamy broccoli sauce. The food tasted really good. "I must thank, the cook," I say, chewing away on a drumstick. "Your welcome," she answers, with her wide smile. "You are the cook?" I ask, surprised. "Yes, your mom can testify, to my cooking abilities. I have always enjoyed cooking for others, as I was never able to have a family of my own," she says wistfully. "Will you tell me, the real reason, why I am here?" I ask her bluntly. "What did your mother tell you? she asks me instead. "That's the problem, nothing. She said it was time for me to visit, her old home where she grew up, and it was for the best," I relay this to her. "We will dicuss this, more tomorrow in detail, after you have met with the Alpha King, for 9:00am," she tells me briskly. "I know that you need your rest, and the Alpha King, likes us to be on time." Ms. Anna continues. Realising, that I was not going to get, anything more out of her, I go to pick up my empty plate, but she takes it out off my hands, and shoos me off to bed instead. I thanked her for the food again, we says our goodnights, and I head back upstairs, to my room again. I open the french windows, and walked onto the balcony. I lean against the railing, staring at my surroundings, but reallyseeing nothing. I was deeply lost in my thoughts. Things here was really strange and I wasn't sure if, it was the good kind. I frown, remember what Ms. Anna had said earlier, and a few words stood out, in my mind glaringly "Who or what, was an Alpha King?" I whisper out loud.
