School was the same every day, after my first day. I had preteded to Ms. Anna, that it was fine, but it was becomming harder and harder, each day.
I was currenly at school, wishing for it to end, and finally, I was able to leave school. I stopped at the library, to borrow a few books. I had a test on History, but was not taught american history at my old school.
Collecting the books from the librarian, she tells me, to be careful with the books. I needed to bring them back, within three days time. I assure her that, I would take good care of the books, and return them on time.
I walk out the building, with the rest of students and start walking the familiar route home.
I hadn't seen Ethan since that day. It has been hard, trying to move on like nothing never happened. I was so over it, yeah right.
I stop walking, deciding that I wasn't ready to head home as yet. I decide to visit lake Wolfhead instead, and take in the ambience of nature.
I walk in the direction of the lake, hoping that not much, people would be there. I arrived in no time, it was only ten minutes away from school. I look around me admiring the lake, I hadn't visit it since the first time. There were a few families scattered about, the lake was big enough, for all of us.
I sit down on a bench, underneath a large leafy tree, and lean back aganist it, relaxing my body. I close my eyes, and deeply breathe in the clean air. I must have dose off for a while, as I come to the feeling of someone, gently tapping my face. Opening my eyes, I see green ones staring back at me.
No! I say in mind, sitting up quickly. I stare at him, my eyes opening wider. It was really him! My, no not mines, Mary-Lamb lover boy.
"Hi," Ethan says in his deep sexy voice, "This is not the best place to sleep," he tells me looking around.
"I was not sleeping," I say indigantly.
"I called your name twice, and you did not answer," Ethan says, sitting down, next to me.
"Oh," was all I could say, at the moment.
This is weird, did we not say these things, just a few days ago. I think to my self.
"Am I in a time warp?" I say aloud, staring around me, looking for changes or blips in the atmosphere.
I see faint shimmering sparks of blue lightening around me. I stand, and move towards one, reaching out my hand to touch it.
I instantly feel a zap of electricity, enters my body, hightening my senses and opening my third eye.
Colours of red, blue and pink, were flowing in the wind. The leaves on the trees shimmered golden, multitude of colours rose from the lake, as water vapours up to the sky, merging with the few rainbow coloured clouds.
The sky looked both day and night, and two gigantic pink moons stared back at me.
"Snow white," I hear a voice wispers on the wind.
This brings me back to my senses, and I knew I had gone bat s**t cazy. The only person to call me snow white, was my father and he was dead, according to my mother.
The sound of Ethan's voice, pulls me out of this three dimension place, and the colours and moon before me starts to fade.
My mind returns to sanity, to find Ethan holding my face in his hands. He looked concerned and confused at the same time.
"Are you okay?" he asks concernly, with his face pressed into mines.
"I think," was all I could say. I couldn't even begin to explain, that out of body experience I just had.
"Your pupils are dilated," Ethan tells me, getting even more upset.
"Tell me the truth, are you on drugs?" he asks coldly, staring at them.
"NO!" I denied loudly, looking him in the eye, how could he think that.
"Okay, care to explain the episode, that just occured. Why were you acting daze out, and staring at nothing?" he questions seriously.
I saw you walking towards the lake, fully clothed and called your name a few times, but you never answered," he relates all this to me.
I stared at him in bewilderment, and a light bulb went off in my head. I was not bat s**t crazy.
"I think, I was sleep walking," I tell him, with a small grin.
Ethan's entire body relaxes, and I hear him breath out a heavy sigh of relief.
"Do you do that often?" he asks, guiding me back towards the bench.
It was only then, that I realise that both my feet, were wet.
What the heck? Why did I walked into the lake? I fumed inside.
"Not since I was six.Thank you, for helping me," I tell him with a wide smile.
"Please don't fall asleep, here again. I don't even want to think, what could have happen, it I was not here," he says seriously, and places a light kiss on my lips.
"Let me walk you home," he says, leading the way. We remained in silence, all the way to my door.
"Stay safe," Ethan tells me, then walks away, leaving me standing there staring at his retreating back.
Before I knew it, six months had pass, since coming to Bluemoon town. I still hadn't made any friends, and my only interaction with people besides my god grandmother, was at school.
After the first day, Luke stayed away from me. I guess his friends had convince him, not to befriend me. I would see him at school, staring at me sometimes.
Ethan had literally become a ghost. I had not seen him since that day at the lake. I was feeling miserable and homesick. That inccident had left me shaken.
My so called powers had not manifested, yet I had somehow been branded by the lightening in the air, my skin had been burned that fateful day at the lake, when I had reached out to touch it.
I had told Ms. Anna and my mom about that day, but left out the piece about hearing my father's voice.
A small blue lightening design, had appeared on the inner side of my wrist. I only noticed it, when taking a shower later that day. They were positive that, it was my powers manifesting.
False hope, they had gotten me excited for nothing, and now six months later, I had had enough of everybody, and just wanted to escape.
On my last phone call with mom, I told her that, I wanted to come home, but she still said no.
I was thinking of running away, it had been on my mind, for a while now. I had some USD money, two thousand dollars, which I had brought with me from the Bahamas. I also had my credit card, which I could use, to pay for stuff.
My eighteen birthday was tomorrow, and I had no one, to celebrate it with, that sealed my decision and I began to plan my escape from this shithole.
The next day came and I was awoken by Ms. Anna, wishing me a happy birthay. She brought me breakfast in bed, which was nice of her to do. She gave me a small wrapped box, waiting for me to open it.
I remove the bow, and lifted the cover, inside lay a silver necklace with a wolf pattern pendant. I hug and thank her, with tears in both our eyes. She stayed and we talked for a while about school and the town.
She tells me that the Alpha King, would be returning home later today. He had been gone, on a long worldwide trip searching for his mate. Unfortunately, he still did not find her, so he would be forced to select a mate.
Beta Ethan and everyone else, was busy preparing for his welcoming return. She had to leave for the castle to help out and would return later at night.
I tell her that it was fine, that I would be okay being alone.
After she leaves, I take a bath and dress in jeans and a blue t-shirt. I do my hair in my usual single braid, and put on a pair black sneakers.
I pull out my packed bag, which was hidden under my bed. It had the basic necessities and clothes in it. I go downstairs, and out the house into the garage.
The car sat there, with dust all over it, looking as if it had not been moved for ages. It was a black mercedes benz, glx.
I pull on the drivers door, and it swings open. I throw my bag on the passenger seat, and get in closing my the door. I see that the car keys are not in the ignition.
I look in the dashboard, but it only has the insurance. I search about in the car, looking every where. No keys. I get out and look in the backseat. Still nothing.
This is my one only chance to leave, I didn't know when I would have another opportunity to escape.
I sit back in the drivers seat and say to myself
"Where are the keys? Where are the keys?" over and over again.
The visor suddenly flaps down and the car keys falls into my lap. I jumped. That's weird I think to myself.
I pick up the keys, and put one in the ignition, I turn it, and the car roars to life, sounding as if, it had been recently serviced.
I reverse out of the garage and onto the road. I put the car in drive, and take off in a speed, leaving dust trailing behind me.
I reduce my speed to sixty kmh, not wanting to attract unnecessary attention. I drove back on, the same road we had come in, passing houses and the town.
I scream out loud. "Ahhh!"
Laughing and smiling gleefully, I had actually done it.
I was free! My escape plan had worked!
Then, I see the guardbooth up ahead, blocking me from leaving.
