I slammed the loft door shut behind us, the click echoing like a bad decision I was already regretting, and Seraphina turned to me with that hopeful little smile, her eyes all wide and shiny like she thought this was some grand reunion or whatever.
"Ry, I can't believe we're doing this again," she whispered, stepping closer, her hands sliding up my chest, and I forced a grin back, even though my wolf was snarling inside me like a caged animal, "What the f**k are you doing, you i***t, this isn't right, he's down there, Lange's down there, go back to him!"
But I shoved it down hard, " Right." because no way was I letting some stupid bond or whatever the hell it was turn me into that guy, the one who falls for another dude and gets laughed out of the pack, heir or not.
