  Solange   She nodded, gave me one last watery smile, and I turned and headed to my room to throw some clothes in a bag before I could change my mind and stay. Ten minutes later I was out the door with a quick wave to the parents who were already arguing quietly about northern politics or whatever, and I was on my way north again.
