The Next Day and a little background info on Brian

459 Words
I wake up to the sound of birds chirping and the sun light shining throughout the curtains.I have been laying here trying to believe what happened last night. "Was it even real or was I just hallucinating?" I ask myself. I finally decided to get out of bed and get ready for the day. After I finish getting dressed and brushing my teeth, I grab my keys and get in the car. I'm still shocked about what happened last night but try to ignore it as I drive to work. I work at the local bar and cafe in town. I live in a small town in Vermont. It's a nice town and is usually very quiet besides when people suddenly go missing, or when stuff like last night happens. My shift at work starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 8 p.m. I also only work Monday through Friday. I moved here with a friend about a year ago and after my friend moved back home I just decided to stay here. I'm originally from New York. You're probably wondering why I would want to move away from New York. Well New York is loud and over populated. Yes I love New York and it will always have a special place in my heart. I mean why wouldn't it, I was born and raised there. Well I better get to work. That's enough information for now.Should I report what I saw to the police or just stay quiet? That was one of the scariest encounters of my life. I wonder how many other people have seen things like what I saw. It's 4 p.m. and I haven't heard anything about any New dissapearences or any new appearances either. I have 4 hours until my shift is over. I don't feel like cooking tonight so I'm just gonna stop at a local restaurant to get dinner on my way home. It's about a 20 minute drive from here to my house so stopping for dinner won't be a big deal. I have just gotten in my car after my 10 hour long shift. Lindsey my co-worker, will be closing tonight at 11 p.m. You have to be at least 21 to work here, because of it being a bar at night. As I arrive at the restaurant I sigh from exhaustion. I go buy my food and sit down to eat. I then hear thebchime from the bell on the door of the restaurant. Three kids walk in, all of them being around 16 or 17. What catches my is what they are talking about. There was aanother sighting last night besides mine. They saw something while they were hunting. So, I guess I wasn't the only one after all.
