Seeing Celine leave my house made me feel immense pain in my heart.
I wanted to chase after her, to stop her from leaving, but I felt so guilty that I had pretended I didn't know she was acting.
"Please, I am so sorry, Jace," Clara knelt beside me, crying and begging for forgiveness.
"Why did you lie to me, Clara? You made me become worse than a sinner. How could you do this to me? And you expect me to take you back after that type of betrayal? I do not want you again. Just leave," I told Clara as she knelt in my room on the top floor and clasped her hands together.
