Isa’s POV
When I awoke in the large canopy bed the next morning, I was relieved to find that Alpha Lumis didn’t appear to be in the room. I crept into the bathroom, motivated by both the baby against my bladder, and the curiosity about Lumis’ whereabouts. When I didn’t find him in there, either, I used the restroom before I wandered back into the bedroom. I nearly jumped when I saw Lumis standing next to the small dining set in the corner of the room, setting a tray down with a number of breakfast items down on it.
“Did I startle you?” He asked, a slight smile on his lips as he glanced at me, having clutched my hand to my chest. He still wore the same red lounge pants he’d had on the previous evening, but at least now he had a white t-shirt on, too.
