Sasha loved these crazy, booming walks through the city, all shouting and whooping. Wild flags everywhere, a triumphant feeling inside. Scaring the people in the metro, the Founders made their way to the appointed location where everyone was to gather. They were loud and attracted unfriendly looks. Some of the looks however were approving or at least curious, as if wondering, “What are these wild things up to…?” Sasha always felt more at ease as part of a chattering, motley crowd; he immediately transformed into a small but tenacious component of it. They amassed near the monument to a revolutionary writer and lined up in rows. The monument stood like a stark black flame throwing up a straight, long shadow.
