“I love you,” her words resounded in my head over and over again as I soaked myself inside the bathtub for a moment. Our relationship had now taken a turn, and we were on our way to being happy forever if we were able to, but then again, I couldn’t help but think about the humans I had killed over the years and those I had harmed because of my actions.
The guilt weighed me down, and even though she told me it was never my fault, I still blamed myself because I knew the humans would still have their homes if it weren’t for me.
