Everything was not working as I wanted. The mating ceremony was supposed to happen, my bratty sister was supposed to become queen, and then my father would be off my back, but he just had to ruin it by announcing that he had a mate. As if that was not enough, we got the information that they were being attacked.
When we got to the clearing, I had expected that the princess would be nowhere to be found, but she was alive. She was well and moving around with no wounds, and the worst part was the fact that there was no rogue in sight.
I had overheard him when he talked with Karius and how he had discussed the sword.
It was supposed to be mine. I was supposed to hold the sword, but all of my plans suddenly got destroyed because she had revealed the powers of the sword.
