“He has Maria and Kendra!” I shouted, pointing toward them.
My body trembled as the Sword of Life hit my hand again. It lit up, and I knew it was reacting to the hideous appearance of Thane.
When the triplet sisters told us he had transitioned, and from the vision we had seen, I never expected it would look as bad as this.
He looked hideous, and I wondered why he had chosen to live this kind of life when he could have quietly lived without turning into a monster.
“Thane!” Voridian shouted. “What the hell have you become?” he demanded.
Thane laughed and spread his arms as if showing off how ugly he now looked, from his horns to his tail and the dark, shadowy marks appearing on his body. He looked like the worst monster I had ever seen.
