“Look at her acting as if everything is alright.”
“If I were her, I would walk with my head bowed in shame.”
Those were some of the words I had heard in the past few days since that incident, and it was the last time I had seen Maverick and Voridian. I had seen Maverick and tried to speak, but he just walked off, ignoring me as if I didn’t exist. Voridian, on the other hand, I hadn’t heard from them, and neither had he called for me.
It wasn’t as if I expected him to call for me, but I just wished he could tell everyone the truth so I wouldn’t have to bow my head each time I walked amongst the humans.
