I fluttered my eyes open when I heard the door open, and I frowned to see him standing before me.
Two more people entered behind him, and I only remembered the girl, while the bulky man behind him was unfamiliar.
It could be a new ally, I thought.
“It’s so good to see you again, princess,” Thane commented.
There wasn’t anything good about seeing him again. I had been in the room shivering from the cold, and the stupid dirty blanket they had given me wasn’t doing anything to help me from the cold.
After I saw Thane last time, he hadn’t come since then, and the only people I had seen were the masked women who carried food into the room. Aside from them, I hadn’t seen anyone else.
