Elias’s POV As I was watching all my members walk into the hideout, I couldn’t help but feel disheartened each time it wasn’t Naomi. I wish Alec would hurry up for f**k sake. “Are you even listening to me?” I turned round surprised to see Danielle standing beside me. I didn’t even hear anyone come over. “Sorry, I didn’t even realise you were here yet.” She looked at me with her eyebrow raised. “What were you thinking about?” “Nothing. Just in my own world. What did you come over for?” “Wow. I never thought I needed a reason to come over and see my boyfriend,” she said in a cutesy voice. “I’m not your boyfriend Danielle. I’m your boss, and I will never be you boyfriend,” I said bluntly. I could see the disappointment in her face. I don’t think I’ve ever put it as straight as that to her. She needs to learn her place. She started walking away immediately and walked over to the other women members. I suddenly heard the door opening again, and there she was. She was in skin-tight leggings, a black t-shirt and black boots. I don’t know why, because all the women wear pretty much the same thing, but she looked absolutely amazing. I could see every curve on her body. I could feel the blood rushing towards my c**k and turned round to hide it and try to think of something else to calm down. When I turned around, I looked around the whole room until I met her gaze. I could tell she was angry at me, but I could also tell that there was sadness in her eyes. I understand that I hurt her, I just didn’t realise until now how much. Maybe there is something to this soulmate’s thing because I hate myself for hurting both her and me with what I told her. There’s only one thing for it. I will speak to her later and make things right. I don’t care what anyone thinks. When I came to from my thoughts, I seen she was still gazing at me and I waved her over to me. I may get this over with already so that we can get to the matter at hand. “Members!” I shouted and watched as all my members looked up. I grabbed Naomi’s hand and held it up, just like I do every new member. “This is Naomi, and she is our newest member. This will be her first mission,” I said as I looked over at her. Her eyes were looking at all the members looking up at her. I let go of her hand and let her make her way to the corner she was in before I brought her up. “Okay, now down to business. We have a shipment of guns and ammo coming into the warehouse tonight. Alec, You and I will help Naomi to bring the guns from the trucks into the warehouse. You can show her around the warehouse while you’re in there and show her where everything goes.” I could see the disdain in his face. He thinks I’m stupid, but I know he’s growing a bit of a soft spot for her. “Everyone else split into your usual groups and take your usual positions.” “Yes Boss!” They chimed. “Alright. Now move out!” Alec started over to Naomi and they exited. When I went out, I could tell Naomi wasn’t pleased through the car door. She must not have realised that I would be joining them for this mission. I climbed into the car and Alec drove right to the front of the warehouse. “Alec you go in with Naomi. I’ll wait here for the trucks. Show her around.” He grunted and did what he was told while I waited in the car, contemplating all the ways this mission could go wrong. The warehouse is the safest place to be during a mission. It’s not very often that people defeat the barriers of my members around it. It only ever happened once, but me and Alec made short work of them. The trucks arrived and I finally got out of the car and met with the delivery drivers while Alec brought Naomi out to start unpacking everything. “Is everything here?” I asked the drivers. “Yeah, it’s all there.” “Get out of the truck.” They did as they were told knowing the usual routine. When they got out, I took my gun out of the holster. “If it’s not all there I will shoot you both, and don’t even try to run,” I warned. “I have men all over and they will not hesitate to shoot you at my command.” They perched themselves against the Lorry while we all waited for Naomi and Alec to finish. “Everything there?” I shouted to Alec. “Yes Boss. All accounted for.” I turned to the Lorry drivers. “You may leave now.” As they left, Alec and Naomi came towards me, Naomi staying a safe distance away from me of course. I grabbed my phone to send the message to the members when I heard gunshots ring out. “Get down!” I yelled. I called Danielle to see if she knew what was going on. “Boss, Fionnuala has been shot. The bleeding won’t stop!” “We are on our way.” I looked to Naomi who was staring into space, brows furrowed, and mouth wide open. “Naomi, Are you okay?” I asked worriedly. She didn’t seem to hear me, so I walked towards her and shook her shoulder lightly. She jumped with fright on her face until she realised it was me, and then she let me help her up. “Someone is injured. I know this can be difficult at first, but you really need to buck up for now and help.” She seemed to realise what I said and took a deep breathe and straightened herself up. “Okay. Take me to them.” She said determined. We trundled through the forest that surrounded the warehouse and found Danielle and Geraldine. “Where is the patient?” Naomi asked, with complete and utter determination on her face and in her voice. Danielle looked annoyed that we brought Naomi, but at the same time she knew that she was Fionnuala’s only chance right now. It was amazing watching Naomi get so into helping her patient. She was calm, collected, and attentive. Thankfully the bullet must have hit Fionnuala from a long distance because it wasn’t lodged too far into her abdomen, although it was lodged far enough that we still had to call the Geoff ,our resident surgeon, in to repair any internal damage that it may have caused. Thankfully, he said he didn’t have much to repair, and that Fionnuala would make a full recovery. When he said it was okay, I sent her home with explicit instructions to rest until her wounds had completely healed. Naomi went to her room a long time ago, probably to collect herself and cope with what just happened. Had I known this was gonna happen I wouldn’t have brought her to this mission. Usually gun and ammo drops are uneventful. I started up to her room and knocked the door. “Who is it?” She shouted through the door. “It’s me.” She came straight to the door. “Is Fionnuala okay?” “Yes. Geoff said she will have a full recovery ad I sent her home to recover.” “Okay. Speak to you later.” She said while closing the door. Before it fully closed, I put my hand up to stop it closing anymore. “We need to talk.” “I have nothing to say to you,” she breathed. “Well I have something to say to you.” She opened the door and gestured me in. “Say what you want to say. It’s been a long night.” “I didn’t mean what I said this morning, I admitted.
