Chapter 66 - Bayfrost City

After the preparations were complete and said goodbye to Lyra, Rudy started to head towards the city of Bayfrost using the horse purchased in the previous town because of Lyra's suggestion. Actually, Rudy quite objected to Lyra's proposal because of the high price, but he also considered the speed that affected the duration of the trip.

Rudy is not a person who likes to linger or ramble.

Lyra actually wanted to go with Rudy, but she had not yet completed the quest received from the mayor directly. Since Lyra was one of the four strongest players who had stayed in Livetuna City up until now, the mayor asked her to hunt Goblins within the city as many as 100 Goblins every day until the city calmed down. Thanks to that he got the title Goblin Killer for successfully killing 1000 Goblins.

Rudy did not want to linger in the city of Livetuna considering that he had the right to take a Special-Class Job Class at Class Registration. Unfortunately, all members and employees of Class Registration have died during the Goblin invasion of Livetuna City.

Although previously Rudy had told Lyra the Silver-Class level, but that was because he thought that this Special-Class was indeed offered to him because it was time for him to change classes. He didn't really think the Job Class given by the system was a special Job Class so he only thought of it as an advanced Silver-Class.

While traveling on horseback, Rudy opened the Axie Forum to view discussions and news there. Previously, he had only opened the Axie Forum because he wanted to sell items obtained at Axie Online, but after Ramsey's explanation regarding updates and maintenance, he had to prepare some anticipation and gather more information about this world.

From the information disclosed by the Axies Corporation, Elemental Drip can make users have the power of certain elements in the world and some special overpower skills. One of the special skills that the user can possess is to become the nature of the element itself.

Although only temporarily, when the skill is activated, it is said to be able to ignore 99% of the damage received and increase the attack power of its elements by as much as 300%. Of course, the appearance of Items and their skills shocked the entire Axie Online world and the real world.

300% Damage is not too scary, because various equipment and title buffs can add Health Bar more than 500% of the original character's stat or elemental defense of more than 500% of original stat points.

After taking approximately eight hours of horseback riding, Rudy finally arrived at his destination, Bayfrost City. The city was not as big and majestic as Livetuna City before it became a ruin, but it could still be said to be quite a big city.

Rudy then summoned his horseback into a miniature horse-shaped whistle so as not to trouble himself when entering the city. Horses are not Pets but count as Summons just as Bullers can be summoned from Buller's Summon Horn. The horse summoning item is usually called the Horse's Whistle.

Rudy started to pass through the gates of Bayfrost City which was usually guarded by a pair of guards. It sounds cliché, but this is a common occurrence in any fantasy world.

Rudy asked the locals where the Class Registration was, but all the NPCs in this town were so stingy that he had to complete several quests before getting an answer. Of course, this made Rudy a little angry, and immediately looked for the place he was going alone.

"It's outrageous that just for the sake of an answer I have to do the Quest first. What's with this town?"

While complaining about that, Rudy kicked a piece of rock near his leg. Feeling annoyed, Rudy walked around the city looking for the Class Registration building but did not find him until an hour later. In the end, he entered the Quest Center which he had passed to get information.

Reading the quest made Rudy smile. He didn't think that facing the Undead was easy, but that was the reason why Rudy smiled. A new type of enemy that he had never fought before, it was quite perfect for him who was looking for new experiences that had never existed in the real world before.

Although there might be astral-type monsters like Ghosts that had high resistance to physical attacks, at least he was aiming for the possible Undead Hunter title that could massively increase his stats and give Undead-type monsters more attack power.

After receiving the two quests, Rudy immediately left the Quest Center and intended to go to the forest west of Bayfrost, but in the middle of the road his steps stopped and he froze with a wry expression on his face. What makes it so?
