Chapter 39 - Decoy

From Rudy's body came a puff of black smoke which immediately gathered to form five twin swords that floated around him. The five swords immediately attacked the Ghost in front of Rudy and slashed it alternately on the same path in a circle like a wheel.

The attack made the Ghost monster disappear in an instant. Even though Ghosts had resistance to physical attacks up to 90%, their Vitality points stats and Health Bars were very low. For players with Job Class Mage or the like, Ghost is the weakest mob monster.

If you are surprised, Rudy's Hollow Swords skill is a Magic type skill so the physical attack resistance found in Ghost will not work against this skill.

In Axie Online skills are divided into several types, but in general, four types are most known to players and NPCs. Physical, Magic, Chant, and Build, are the four types of skills that are commonly known by players and NPCs.

Physical is a type of skill that attacks directly using the body or weapon, for example, Swing. This skill is usually owned by players with Job Class Swordsman, Fighter, and the like who rely on Strength status points to increase their attack power and strength.

Meanwhile, there are Magic-type skills, namely skills that attack from a distance or medium without the need to hit the opponent directly. An obvious example of this type of skill is Hollow Swords. Magic-type skills are definitely used by players with Job Class Mage and the like.

In addition to those that directly affect the opponent's Health Bar like the previous two types, there are also Chant-type skills. This type of skill can affect the status of opponents, friends, or yourself so that those who are given this type of skill will become stronger or weaker than before.

An example of this Chant-type skill is Black Form which is a Bonus Skill from Rudy's Blackstar Sword. The owner of this Chant type skill usually has a Job Class such as Enchanter, Cursemancer, or the like.

The last common type skill that many people know is the Build type skill. This type of skill is very rare for players and NPCs because it is very difficult to level up and not very useful in battle.

As the name implies, Build type skills are skills related to making or building something. For example Rudy's Alchemy skill and Fira's Smithing skill. Usually, players or NPCs who have this type of skill have production side jobs such as Alchemist, Blacksmith, and the like.

Rudy also knew that skills with indirect attacks were usually Magic type like Hollow Swords, so he wanted to experiment and practice them at the same time. As a result, as seen, the Ghost in front of him lost and disappeared in an instant.
