Chapter 77 - Rudy vs Arshwind (I)

Explosion after explosion, vibration after vibration, shock after shock, all of this was passed by Rudy who kept running to avoid every attack in the form of bursts of fire from Arshwind the Dragon. He had been running for about two minutes without stopping to avoid Arshwind's attacks, but he hadn't found the slightest opening that would allow him to get close and launch an attack at the same time.

In several attacks, Rudy was seen holding out his Blackstar Sword to touch Arshwind's torrent of flames, but instead of being sucked in, the flames devoured the Blackstar Sword's Durability points in terrifying numbers. After knowing this, Rudy no longer intends to smoke this terrible fire again before the time comes.

Arshwind who saw the silver-haired player could only pace back and forth struggling to dodge his attacks seemed to chuckle a few times softly. It had been a long time since he had a visitor, but he didn't expect anyone to be able to dodge all of his fire breath attacks.

Arshwind is not an unintelligent mob monster, quite the opposite. Arshwind was smarter than most of the normal NPCs in the world of Axie Online. He didn't feel irritated or anything like that when he saw the attacks he launched were dodged so easily by this dwarf in front of him, Arshwind saw it as quite a rare consolation considering he had been asleep for a long time from boredom in this place.

Seeing this player's persistent effort to dodge his attack, Arshwind purposely stopped his burst of flames within a few seconds. This was not because he was belittling Rudy, but as a tribute from him towards the dwarf in front of him for having lasted more than five minutes.

Rudy, who thought he had gotten the chance from the Dragon's Cooldown Skill, immediately dashed as fast as he could not wanting to miss a golden opportunity like this. Not content with his current speed, Rudy summoned his five Hollow Swords and mounted two of them, and then moved as fast as the wind towards Arshwind.

Arshwind who didn't expect Rudy's speed to increase significantly was taken aback and immediately got up to face the attack, but he knew that a dwarf-like Rudy couldn't even scratch his scales.

The Dragon Race is indeed famous for the thickness and hardness of its legendary scales, even some reports say that there are the rarest high-class items ever found containing dragon scales which are the main ingredients so that the Durability of the Item is far above the level of Durandal or Excalibur.

Too bad these items do not belong to the player but belong to a legendary NPC who is said to be very powerful in a kingdom. It was reported that this NPC had killed more than a hundred dragons and was kept by a kingdom called the Bailendra Kingdom. A kingdom on the Plainfest continent in the world of Axie Online.

This NPC's item was predicted to be a Relic-class Item that even large Legions had never obtained. Even though these items were very tempting to various players and NPCs, no madman would want to make them enemies of a great empire. Especially the Baliendra Kingdom which is one of the strongest kingdoms on the Plainfest continent.

Rudy's Hollow Swords speed was too fast. Even Rudy was surprised by his current speed, but he didn't complain much because in less than five seconds he had reached Arshwind's body without difficulty.

When approaching Arshwind's body, Rudy immediately jumped up to stab his seven swords that could be controlled with all his might to pierce the scales of this monster. But unfortunately, before Rudy could carry out his plan, he was already blown away thanks to Arshwind's strong flapping of wings.

Rudy had rolled several times on the stone floor for a few seconds before finally stopping in a kneeling position. He felt quite severe pain all over his body due to the huge wind blowing from Arshwind's flapping wings, even Rudy thought some of his bones would be broken from the attack earlier.

A player's body in the game or what was commonly called an avatar would very rarely receive serious injuries such as broken bones or something, but their HP parameters would be greatly reduced in return. Rudy himself could see his HP dropped by more than 3/4 just because it was blown away by the gust of wind.

Rudy took the HP Potion II from his Inventory and immediately gulped it down after recovering about 20% of his HP. Even though 20% sounded a little bit, it could at least save his life in a critical state.

Seeing Rudy drinking the healing potion, Arshwind attacked again with his fireballs, but this time the fireballs were much smaller but of terrifying quantity. If some big attacks can't hit the moving target, it's better to use quantity which is much more even though the impact is drastically reduced.

Although the power of these fireballs is far below the previous fireballs, they can still take more than Rudy's entire HP in one hit. This means that if Rudy is hit just once, he will die. Rudy's forehead wrinkled slightly as he watched tens or even hundreds of small fireballs aim at him.

"This isn't the time to set status points for avatars, but what can I do."

Rudy ran sideways as fast as possible to dodge the fireball attacks aimed at him while opening his status panel, then put 75% of the previously collected Status Points into Dex's status. Thanks to that, Dex's status points as well as Rudy's running speed increased dramatically.

Arshwind widened his bloodshot eyes at the speed of the player facing him. Never had he seen a human being able to increase his speed so drastically in less than five seconds.

When Arshwind was surprised Rudy could see a gap in the fireball attacks that had been released in succession since earlier. Rudy who didn't want to let go of this opportunity immediately reactivated his Hollow Swords which had disappeared and could be activated again. He used his black swords to surf the air as fast as he could near Arshwind's head.

In just two seconds Rudy was already about 15 meters from Arshwind's head which shocked the Dragon half to death. This fight was his first fight since waking up from his long slumber, naturally, he underestimated his opponent, especially since his opponent was just a dwarf who didn't look that strong.

In a panic, Arshwind spits out his fire breath without turning it into a fireball spontaneously, while the human he was targeting smiled faintly as if he felt he could win.

Rudy kicked the black sword he was riding on and jumped quite high towards Arshwind. Not quite there, Rudy immediately controlled his swords attacking Arshwind's eyes. Even though he knew he couldn't win against a monster of this high level, at least Rudy wanted to put up a pretty fierce fight at a fairly low level.

If he could do it then Rudy could gain his confidence as an abnormal player.

Slash!

A roar filled the room, this time it was accompanied by a scream. It wasn't because of the pain, feeling the shame. Even though its durability and level were very high compared to Rudy's attack power and level, still the eyes were open internal organs that could be attacked from the outside despite the incredible hardness of the Dragon scales.

Rudy landed on the edge of Arshwind's rampaging muzzle, but he didn't fall as he plunged his two swords as deep as possible into Arshwind's muzzle. Even though it's not that deep, at least it keeps Rudy from falling off his feet.

The Arshwind who roared in pain writhed with all his might feeling the intense pain in his eyes. He did not expect that there were humans who could think about the weakness of a hard-scaled figure like a Dragon.

At the end of the turmoil and shock produced by Arshwind, Rudy was finally thrown high and high thanks to the almost exhausted duration of Self Dual Wielding, so Rudy was forced to take off and return the Goblin Killing Sword to his Inventory.

When Rudy was thrown Arshwind opened his right eye to see the dwarf who was his opponent was flung helplessly into the air. The Dragon Race also has a special regeneration ability that can heal or regenerate any part of its body that is injured or cut off in a short amount of time. It was thanks to this ability that Arshwind regained his sight even though it was only his right eye.

Arshwind felt that Rudy was unable to do anything in the air so he opened his mouth as wide as possible intending to eat it. Considering that he hasn't filled his stomach for a long time, it's only natural that he wants to eat Rudy who incidentally is a human, Dragon's favorite race.

Seeing Arshwind waiting for him with his mouth wide open, Rudy gave a small smile. He then pointed the tip of the Blackstar Sword towards the wide, sharp-toothed jaw.
