Chapter 3 - Beginner Town

Arriving at his apartment, Rudy immediately lay down on the bed so that he drowned in the very soft cotton wool. He did not expect to be this tired just because he just got home from the hospital. Well, his tiredness was from being too tense with the atmosphere in the hospital, so it couldn't be helped.

While lying on the bed, Rudy turned to his left and glanced at Rachel's Solid Gear Ultimate Edition as a token of his gratitude for saving his youngest son. After five seconds, he started screaming with joy that his body also moved to the rhythm of his screams. Even though Rudy felt pain from a broken bone that had not healed completely, he for some reason didn't really care. That's because the excitement felt by Rudy was too great, like a crazy gambler suddenly hit the jackpot.

So far, Rudy had never tried to turn on or wear the Solid Gear even once. Why? Because he still doubted whether Rachel really gave this device to him for free. But after a few days passed, and talking with Rachel on email, finally, he can play the game that is currently a trend among the wider community, namely Axie Online.

Rudy took the Solid Gear along with the device to charge it, then prepared everything needed to enter the world of Axie Online. After everything was ready, he started to put the Solid Gear on his head and lay down on the bed.

Without hesitation, Rudy immediately answered the sound of the machine that sounded in his brain. Then in a few moments, his eyes were filled with various kinds of data processing that he couldn't read because it was too fast.

In a few seconds, Rudy realized that he was currently in a very empty white room.

There were Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Trolls, Orcs, Undead, and Fish Man. I don't know how many, Rudy still can't count them all.

"Races, huh? I don't understand how great the other races are, but just by looking at them, some races have advantages depending on the environment in the game. Even so, I'd rather just choose my race so I can adapt faster in the game."

After going through character creation, Rudy is the name of the character in the world of Axie Online.

Rudy started to open his eyes and found himself in a white room filled with several people.

At this time, Rudy saw that there was a yellow ball floating above the heads of the people in the area.

“Oh, so that's what the players point to? Is the yellow pointer a pointer for the players?”

Rudy looked up and saw a yellow ball above the crown of his head. He can only smile a little after realizing that he has successfully entered his new world, namely Axie Online.

When Rudy started looking for something in question, he found a red bar right at the top of his vision. HitPoint is the Health Bar owned by the player or the life parameter owned by each player. When the Hit Point has been completely exhausted until it reaches zero, the player will die.

Players who die will be penalized for losing experience, some items brought will be lost. Not infrequently if the item drops that are owned will disappear randomly, and it takes some time about a day to start the game from the last city visited.

Being subject to a penalty of this magnitude, of course, made the players not want to die in his way. Not only did the experience loss and revival take a very long time, but even the valuable items he carried would also disappear into items that were extremely frustrating for players.

"Hit Point has been found, next is SP... SP isn't aplication in this game."

Rudy looked a little disappointed that he didn't find the SP he had played in the old-school game. In old-school RPG games, SP stands for skill points which are used as energy to activate or use the skills possessed by the players. The SP form is usually the same as the HP bar but varies. Can be blue, yellow, orange, green, and several other colors. It all depends on the Job Class chosen by the players.

Since this was his first time entering the Virtual Reality Full Dive realm, he had to understand how the systems and laws in this world worked. Rudy started to get up and stood up while doing a little stretching.

VRMMORPG is an Axie Online genre game, extended as Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role Play Game. As the name suggests, VRMMORPG is an RPG game that uses a Virtual Reality system that requires players to connect to an internet connection and log into the game server to play it.

However, the system remains like an RPG game in general.

“Hm… Fame means the points for my influence over the NPCs in the Axie Online game and Byl here is the currency. My level is still zero too, so my class... doesn't exist?”

Rudy was quite surprised to see the screen panel that was watching his status. His zero level could still be said to be reasonable because he hadn't gained any experience in killing monsters in the Axie Online world, but he also hadn't gotten a class?

Rudy opened his eyes slightly and recalled the help panel he had read earlier. Then a few seconds later, he started activating what happened.

According to the help panel, classes can be found at class registration points in several cities, one of which is the Starter town where it is located, Livetuna.

The city where Rudy is currently standing. But unfortunately, the Job Class registration area in the starting city only provides a few lower-level Job Classes such as Swordman, Warrior, Mage, Enchanter, Knight, Guardian, Assassin, Thief, Priest, and Cleric.

In Axie Online, the Job Class of players is divided into three levels, Bronze-Class, Silver-Class, and Gold-Class.

Bronze-Class is the earliest Job Class and is often encountered by players. This Job Class is a basic Job Class that novice players must choose in order to level up. Axie Online players will not be able to level up before selecting a Job Class.

Silver-Class is a class upgrade from Bronze-Class. Job classes such as Swordsman can be upgraded to Swordmage once the requirements are met.

Then, when it reaches the next level, a player's Job Class can be increased again to Gold-Class. Of course after all the requirements are met. There is one more class level, which is different from the three class levels.

It was a Special-Class, a special Job Class that players could only obtain after going through certain special requirements. In Axie Online, the players who have Special-Class are very few.

"Hm... What job class is suitable for me, huh? Since the Intelligence stat is the highest among the stats, it seems that I am suitable to be a Mage, Enchanter, and Priest. But unfortunately, I want to play with the sword."

Some of the shops beside him were both a weapon shop and an armor shop, the players called it a combat equipment shop. Indeed as a beginner, Rudy needed a good weapon for hunting, but the number of players in the combat equipment shop and the display prices, made Rudy's pace stagnate before turning around in an instant.

Rudy sat on the side of the road and sighed helplessly. Reluctantly, he started to open his storage with a command.

When the woman finished telling Rudy, she suddenly started wide and opened her mouth again.

The woman came close to Rudy's ear and started whispering something in a very seductive tone.

"Huh? Are you kidding me?"

Rudy just answered his forehead in a tone of disbelief at the foreign woman's words.

It wasn't that there was a chance that she would lie and set a trap there, even if that place really did have a trap, it couldn't have been the woman of the place that had laid such a trap herself.

While Rudy was still confused by such a sudden explanation, even the female player had instantly disappeared leaving a trail of purple light fragments that floated up and was swallowed by the blue sky.
