TWENTY-FIVE It didn't take long before the fire department, and the police had blocked off the area. Bright orange flames licked at the blackened sky, and thick black smoke billowed upwards, filling the air. The heat from the inferno could be felt nearly a hundred feet away, and firefighters surrounded the building and launched a torrent of spray, hoping to control the blaze while others sprayed the closet buildings in hopes of preventing the spread of the white-hot flames.
