THIRTEEN There was an eerie darkness to the night, as though all the stars had gone out. Only the bright lights of the city illuminated the way, stopping the city from being completely immersed in darkness. Steel had walked all the way from the crime scene; he needed time to think about what might come next. The text he had received was an address for some seedy bar on the edge of the bright lights.
