“Thank you for the coffee. That's very kind”, smiled Olive, “I'll see you tomorrow then.” With that, feeling as though something unsaid between Mr and Mrs Crawford meant a lot more than they had ventured to tell, Olive made her way to the bus-stop, calling only at the bakery for a loaf. On Saturday morning Olive set off to the village shop to purchase the things that she needed to cook a sumptuous feast for her sister and brother-in-law. She knew from past lunches that Minnie and Ron both enjoyed her cooking and she looked forward to displaying her talent with relish.
