Chapter 51: Home Invasion

Jacky O’Brien looked at his Nephew, Billy, raised his eyebrows, and said, “Penny for your thoughts, boy.”    “Uncle O’B-Brien,” Billy stuttered. “You are good at this. I could never do what you d-do. I was up all night, though, and I have an idea. Maybe we could go out and find some guns. There was a gun fight in building number 14 recently. Perhaps Todd Lewis’ gun was found there. You know what they say: ‘Where there’s one, there’s certainly more!’”    Billy thought he was a genius, but he had always been too afraid to speak up. He had been up all night thinking about guns, women, and s*x, though, and he felt empowered suddenly.  Jacky nodded and said, “Good thinking, Billy. Your analysis sounds reasonable. If Todd Lewis could find a gun, then we should be able to find one too. Well, look at that! It turns out that you're a nice guy after all. You have been following me all this time, though, and this is the first time you’ve contributed. Next time, if you have an idea, speak up!”  “I will!” Billy exclaimed. He was so excited by his Uncle’s response that he got a boner. Jacky smiled and stared at Billy’s erection. As a man, he knew clearly why Billy was in such a hurry. His Nephew was clearly anxious to rape the girl-child that was sleeping in the upstairs bedroom.   Jacky thought - If Billy is my son, and he gets the girl pregnant, then I will be a Grandfather. The idea appealed to him, so he smiled at the boy and said, “Before we do anything, why don’t you go upstairs and take care of your pecker?” Before Billy could go anywhere, though, there was a knock on the door, and they could hear people gathering on the front lawn. O’Brien’s gang reacted quickly by gathering their weapons.    “f**k!” Billy groaned as he grabbed an iron stick and made his way towards the door. “I just need some s*x,” he complained. “Why is it so hard to get laid?” "Open the door!” shouted one of the men from the other side of the door. “We are the residents of the community!" Jacky frowned. The voice sounded familiar, but at first, he didn’t recognize it. The man shouted again, and this time he did recognize it. It was the man from the other day. He had been about to catch the little girl's mother, but then this man appeared out of nowhere and f****d everything up. At least now I can clean up my mess – he thought. “What are you doing here?” he asked. “You have no business here.”      “I am the owner of the villa,” the man on the other side of the door shouted. “Open the door now or I will be forced to resort violence.” Standing outside of the door, Richard sounded calm. He had come with his gun and a dozen young men armed with sticks and kitchen knives. Is this really the owner of the house? – wondered Jacky – Is this the end of my reign here? He couldn’t help but ask himself these questions. He was terrified because he still respected the laws and principles of this country. Furthermore, he was scared of Todd Lewis and the mutant creatures. The world outside of the villa was a messy place.   Billy stepped forward, put his hand on Jacky’s shoulder, and said, “Uncle, these guys are bluffing. I know them. They are nothing but a gang of starving riffraff. I am going to open the door and kill them. You don’t have anything to fear from them.” “There could be police out there,” Jacky warned. “Let’s see,” Billy said. He looked through the peephole. “No police out there. Anyway, I don’t think they own the villa. I think they came here to steal from us what we have rightly stolen, and I’m not going to let them!” Without waiting for a reply from his uncle, Billy opened the door and rushed outside with his iron stick in his hand. Richard was standing in his blind spot, though, and he kicked him in the gut. He fell backwards onto his ass and the outsiders pushed their way into the villa.    Richard stepped inside last, and he looked around indifferently. His guess had been exactly accurate. Jacky’s men looked fierce and vigorous. After looting and pillaging for only a short time, they had become greedy and brutal. Their transformation worried him. Before the Doomsday event, these people ate steamed bread. They drink tap water, worked hard, and they were pure and honest. Now, though, they were violent, brutal, ruthless, and villainous. He could easily imagine them kidnaping a young girl. Jacky shook his fist at Richard and shouted, “Do you have a f*****g death wish?” Him and his fellows were furious. This was the first time that they had been humiliated like this. Without waiting for Richard to respond, they picked up their weapons and rushed towards him. “We should get out of here,” shouted one of the men that Kevin Stone had brought. “These people are insane.” Even with the weapons they had brought, Kevin’s men were afraid. Their hands were trembling. They were trying to calm down, but they were from the upper-class, and fighting was utterly foreign to them. Only Kevin Stone and Leon Jason held their ground, standing firmly beside Richard. His gun was their hope, and their hope did not go in vain. Richard fired the gun three times, destroying one man’s face. One bullet went into his eye and blew a hole out the back of his head. The next went between his eyes, and the last shattered his nose, causing bits of bone, cartilage, and blood to explode outward. The sound was deafening. Richard laughed and said, “Wow! That was messy, wasn’t it? Now who’s next?” Billy groaned as he got up off the ground. His body hurt, but he did his best to ignore the pain. He took his time brushing the bottom of his jeans. Inside, he was more afraid than he had ever been in his life, but he was forcing himself to remain calm. He looked up, finally, and glared at Richard. “Now, who the f**k are you?” he asked. “And what do you want? I know that you sure as s**t ain’t the homeowners!”
