Episode 11: Innocent Demon

The next evening,

Its quarter of 11:00 p.m and Escor Corp office is very dark, but there's a sound of a man groaning from pain and also a sound of a dripping blood.

Daisy: There are two types of demons in this world; the corrupted one following the execution of Satan's desire and the innocent one punishing the cruelty of Satan's disciples for the sake of justice. In this situation, I am the innocent demon.

Daisy's word Satan is referring to SCORPIA.

These are Daisy's words on her mind while pointing a gun at Arjun Escordia.

14 Hours Earlier...

CEO Arjun Escordia of Escor Corp holds a press conference live via Net45 which was organized by Christianna Tuazon.

It's 8:00 in the morning where Daisy and Loward are both watching the live streaming press conference on TV.

News Blogger: Mr. Escordia, is it true that there was a glitch on your system that's why all emails regarding Escor Corp's gift were sent to all invited institutions?

Reporter 1: If it's true, how are you going to handle this situation as they all received the same notarized document about the gift worth 100 Million Pesos?

Reporter 2: We have received information from one of your employees that your device or system was hijacked, do you have a suspect already?

Reporter 3: If there was really a hacker or hijacker, malfunction, irregularity, or some error on your system, how can you prove it to them? If that's the case, does it mean that the notarized document regarding donation will be voided?

Christianna: My apologies for the interruption. All questions will be answered by CEO Arjun Escordia, can we make it one by one,e please?

Arjun: That's fine Miss Tuazon. Thank you so much.

Arjun clears his throat first.

Arjun: First of all, Good Morning to all of you. I would like to say thank you for this opportunity to explain and clear regarding the incident last night. I assure you, that no malfunction on our system occurred last night. Therefore, all notarized documents they received were valid and they will receive 100 Million Pesos as a donation from Escor Corp. After all, it's the welfare of the unfortunate individuals and those who are in need that we cared about.

Veronica is watching the live press conference too and when she saw Christianna on the TV, she sent her a text message.

Reporter 4: But that's almost 15 Billion Mr. Arjun Escordia, are you sure that this won't result in a bankruptcy?

Christianna opened a text message from Veronica and she read it:

"Come to my house after the press, I have something to tell you about Daisy White. She's behind this irregularity."

Arjun: 15 Billion is a small enough reason for bankruptcy. Rest assured that no bankruptcy will be declared after the endowment last night. Escor Corp is rising and no one can stop it!

Daisy turned off the TV right away.

Loward: He's pride is higher than Mt. Everest.

Daisy: He did it to save the reputation of the company.

Loward: What's your plan?

Daisy: You'll see. You know that I'm not yet done to him as I never found the one I'm looking for.

Daisy took her new phone and inserted the sim card she stole from Escor Corp's Secretary. She went to the place where she kept the sheet containing the list of investors of the company and immediately called them while using a voice changer device.

Daisy: Good Morning Mr. Alexander Hamilton, this is from the office of Escor Corp. Unfortunately, there was a financial mismanagement and the statement from the CEO at the press conference contradicts what's on the system I'm currently facing right now. A piece of contradictory evidence will be sent via email. My apologies for the inconvenience. Thank you.

After the first call she made, she called the second investor and she gave Loward a sign to forward via email the contradictory evidence she was referring to. Loward immediately processed what Daisy's request since they have stolen all the investors' personal information. They also have access to monitor the official email address of Escor Corp.

After the press conference, Christianna immediately went to Salvatierra Residence to see Veronica regarding the text message she received.

Christianna: Veronica, why did you say that Daisy has something to do behind Escor Corp's irregularity?

Veronica: I can sense it.

Christianna: Sense? We don't need that sense, we need proof.

Veronica: Christianna, listen to me. When Daisy came to this town. A lot of strange things happened. She met Councilor Philip Dy and Dolores as his mistress was exposed. Next was the Renaissance residence, I asked Arjun to buy that property. Daisy, invested in his company and she manipulated Arjun until a trade-off was done. She acquired the property in exchange for investing in Escor Corp. Then last night, an unpredicted endowment happened!

Christianna: What do you mean?

Veronica: She's targeting us!

Christianna: For what reason?

Veronica: For some reason.

Christianna: If that's true, we need to find evidence first.

Veronica: That is why, we need to help each other.

Christianna: Are we going to discuss this with the group?

Veronica: Not yet as we need to find concrete evidence that we can use against her.

Christianna: Then you need to be friends. The more you show how upset you are, the more she will be careful.

Veronica: I have no choice.

Christianna: Don't worry, I'll help you with that Veronica.

Veronica: Then, let's play the game.

After a few hours, Daisy called Arjun at the office while watching the news again with Loward.

Daisy: Hello Mr. Escordia, I received a call from the office and she said there was a financial mismanagement in Escor Corp, is that true?

Arjun couldn't believe what he had heard from Daisy.

Arjun: I don't know, who said that?

Daisy: I'm not sure but it's matching your Secretary's phone number.

The Secretary suddenly entered Arjun's office.

Secretary: Sir, I think we have a problem.

Arjun: What's going on again?

Arjun dropped Daisy's call.

Secretary: It's on the news at the lobby sir.

They immediately went to the Lobby to watch the news.

Newscaster: Escor Corp is currently having a poor financial management and this contradicts with what CEO Arjun Escordia assured earlier that no malfunction or irregularity occurred.

The negative cash flow of Escor Corp is being shown on the news. It was provided by Alexander Hamilton who is one of the Shareholders of the company. Alexander Hamilton is a contrarian of Arjun's idea and other business proposals at Escor Corp. This time, Alexander Hamilton is being interviewed live on the news too.

Newscaster: Mr. Hamilton, since there's a financial mismanagement, as a Shareholder of the company, what's your take about giving 100 Million Pesos donation to more than one hundred foundations?

Alexander: That's unacceptable! That must be canceled! We cannot take the impact of this mismanaged finance!

Newscaster: But Mr. Escordia said that 100 Million Pesos will be given to all foundations as there was no irregularity?

Alexander: That makes no sense! The truth is, that was just his unnecessary strategy to grow his business more. On the contrary, he doesn't even know how to manage the whole business! Another thing is, we are having a negative cash flow from our assets! In this instance, I made up my mind to pull out my shares!

Arjun: Turn it off!

Then the TV was turned off.

Secretary: Sir, all our investors received an email regarding the negative cash flow and mismanaged finance.

Arjun: Who sent it?

Secretary: I have no idea Sir, it was coming from our address. I did not even call them, my phone and computer are crashed!

Arjun: This is bullshit! Everybody, listen to me! There is no truth about what Alexander had said on TV! No negative cash flow or anything! Understood? Now, go back to your work!

Arjun left the lobby and went back to his office.

A few hours later, the Secretary reported to Arjun's office.

Secretary: Sir, I'm sorry. All our silent and big investors are pulling out their investments.

Then the Secretary left the office right away.

Arjun couldn't answer what he had heard from his secretary. He took a deep breath while looking at huge buildings through the window. He doesn't know what to say and what to do. He's finished as his company won't be able to survive from its loss of major shareholders and investors.

It's 10:00 in the evening already. Arjun still in his office, the light is off and he's thinking too deeply.

He's about to leave the office but he suddenly heard a strange noise. He is wondering where that noise came from as he is all alone right now.

When his direction is going to the door to leave the office, he was scared and shocked to see a woman wearing a long sleeve white gown and a lamb mask while pointing a gun at him.

Daisy: Hello Arjun Escordia, we have something to talk about.

Daisy still using the voice changer, the scary one, and sinister to hear.

Arjun: Who the hell are you?

Arjun started to walk backward while Daisy is approaching him.

Daisy: Your final destination if you won't cooperate with me and provide what I'm asking for.

Arjun: What do you want?

Daisy: I'm here to give you a choice and make things right. Spread these words that you laundered money to the terrorist to reduce your criminality and give me the bank statement showing the wire transfer to the terrorist 3 years ago.

Arjun: To Magda Soliman?

Daisy fired a gun to scare Arjun after what she had heard.

Arjun shouted for fears.

Daisy shot the water dispenser while Arjun was just behind it. Then the water comes out of its hole.

Daisy: You knew that Magda is not a terrorist! If you want to save your life and this company, then do what I say!

Arjun laughed at her.

Arjun: How can I save this? You may not know that I have decided to declare bankruptcy but no worries, I will keep my promise about 100 Million Pesos as I am a man of my word.

Daisy: 15 Billion from money laundering? Well, aside from bankruptcy, if you won't give me what I ask, I assure you that you will be convicted of money laundering and tax evasion. I knew you Arjun Escordia, a SCORPIA member, right? Do you think they will save you when you get convicted of money laundering? They'll just kill you to save their brotherhood!

Arjun: How did you know all of this? Are you avenging for Magda Soliman?

Daisy: More than that. So, give me what I ask. Now!

Arjun: I don't have it anymore!

Daisy: Then where is it?!

Arjun: I don't know!

Daisy once again fired her gun and she shot the steel mobile pedestal near Arjun's leg.

Arjun: I'm not afraid to die! You can kill me if you want! After all, I have no more career! I have no more life! I have no more purpose to live in this world! I have no more dreams! Go ahead and shooooooot meee!

Daisy never thinks twice to shoot Arjun's left arm and he is screaming in pain.

Daisy: You think, you're the only one I'm gonna kill? I'm going to kill them too!

Arjun: Who's them? I'm all alone here.

Daisy: Yeah, I know how lonely you are, but check your phone.

Arjun's right hand is shaking for fears and pain while trying to check his phone. When he checked his phone, he received a photo showing his family in Spain was kidn*pped, sitting on the floor while their mouths are covered with a huge electrical tape. But Arjun doesn't know that it was just a photoshop created by Loward.

Arjun: You're the only criminal I've met hiding from that mask! If you're f*****g brave enough, take off your f*****g sheep mask!

Then Daisy did not hesitate to take off her mask and she's smiling to Arjun like she's saying welcome to hell. She sees how Arjun is shocked to see her.

Arjun: Daisy?

Daisy: Well played?

At Renaissance residence, Veronica feels uneasy about SCORPIA's account if it is affected by Escor Corp's financial issues today.

As a result, she decided to call her henchman to check the account in Escor Corp's office.

Meanwhile, Daisy is laughing because of Arjun's reaction to how he was played.

Daisy: Look at you, you look so funny Mr. Arjun Escordia.

Arjun: So, Veronica is right!

Daisy: And you're too i***t and stupid not to believe her!

Arjun: And you hijacked my tools and device?!

Daisy: I did.

Daisy noticed that Arjun is looking at the CCTV cameras.

Daisy: No worries Arjun, I turned them off, cameras are not working anymore.

Before Daisy entered the main office of Escor Corp where Arjun is working, she first turned off all CCTV cameras in Escor Building.

Arjun: I can't believe that there's a beast and demon inside you behind that angelic face!

Daisy: There is a demon inside each one of us. I am just good at hiding it as I look like an angel sent from above to take you down, all of the SCORPIA members, actually. Let's not make this complicated Arjun, give me what I ask, now!
