Episode 9: Sell One's Soul

Daisy: When you sell your soul to the devil, you eventually get what you're promised. You'll gain wealth, fame, success, and power. But when there is a soul buyer, there's also a soul destroyer. And the soul seller will become lifeless afterward. You feel nothing but physical, emotional, and mental torture.

These are the words running on her mind while approaching to Arjun Escordia.

Arjun saw Daisy approaching him. He is amazed by the beauty of the woman, something he does not regret having accepted Daisy as an investor in his company. Arjun, on the other hand, is confident that he will be able to use Daisy to achieve his aspirations to become a leading company nationally and in Asia.

Arjun: What a lovely and lucky princess I have in Escor Corp. Guess what, when you entered Escor Corp, in just a few days, we're 3rd in rank already by market value! Closer to Hensley Global! You may not know how thankful I am to you for choosing my company.

Daisy: And you may not know also how dedicated I am to work with your company Mr. Escordia and I just want to give back as much as I can.

Arjun: Correction, it's OUR company. My company is also your company!

They both laughed.

Daisy: My mistake.

Arjun: That's fine Daisy. That is why, I invited charitable organizations in this celebration to give back as much as we can.

Daisy: No wonder why God gave you so much blessing Mr. Escordia.

Arjun: Excuse me Princess White.

Daisy: Sure.

Arjun saw the Salvatierra Family entered the event and he immediately approached them.

Veronica is never late when it comes to wearing a beautiful and elegant gown. In this instance, she also got people's attention. Ronaldo, meanwhile, was unable to attend the event because he was still busy at City Hall.

Guests: Queen Veronica, you look so fabulous tonight! *You got my vote as the most beautiful woman in San Ildefonso! *Wow! The Mayor's Wife wearing an elegant and expensive gown!

Veronica: What do you expect? I'm a Queen and the only Queen in this town!

Gen: Mom, I'll just look for Daisy.

Veronica: Go ahead Genesis.

Genesis immediately leaves his Mom to look for Daisy.

Arjun: Thank you for coming Veronica. I thought, you and your charitable organization will never attend this event after the words I've said to you.

Veronica watches Daisy while Arjun talks to her.

Veronica: Don't be so flattered Arjun. Since you let Daisy entered your company, I'm sure the countdown of your downfall is getting started.

Arjun: Why should I believe your instinct where in fact, because of her, we're now closer to become number one.

Veronica: Well, that's good to hear! Then, prove me I'm wrong.

Arjun: I'm proving it to you right now.

Veronica: Well, good luck to you Arjun.

Genesis is fascinated by what he sees as Daisy White's beauty tonight is like a Disney Princess. He also noticed that there is something she is looking for and wanted to see.

Gen: Are you looking for me my Princess Daisy White?

Daisy laughs at what she had heard.

Daisy: That's what Arjun called me earlier. The answer is yes and I've been waiting for you actually.

But Daisy was really looking for Giovanni and not him.

Gen: You look so wonderful. I'm so lucky to be your Prince tonight, let's have a drink?

Daisy: Why not!

A famous Journalist or Newscaster of a number one and well-known network in the country joined in on the conversation. Her name is Christianna Tuazon. She has short hair, with European beauty but pure-blooded Filipina. She is 30 years old, 5'8 tall, and a member of SCORPIA. Her role in SCORPIA is to protect and block all news propaganda against the members.

Christianna: I have a drink for you Genesis.

While she's offering a glass of wine to Genesis.

Genesis couldn't believe what he saw on why Christianna is at the event which should be on TV News at this time.

Gen: Christianna? Shouldn't you be on TV News right now and reporting some current events and crimes in our country?

Genesis accepted the glass of wine offered by Christianna and drank it immediately.

Christianna: I should be holding some papers right now and reporting in front of a camera but Escor Corp invited me here to do a live broadcast of the event.

Christianna noticed the beautiful woman with Genesis.

Christianna: Who is that beautiful princess with you? Introduce us.

Genesis: Sure! This is Daisy White, my new friend in town.

Christianna: Hello Daisy White, I'm Christianna Tuazon. I'm working in Net45 as a Newscaster.

Daisy: It's nice meeting you Christianna.

While shaking their hands, Daisy remembered the Newscaster she watched while Veronica was being interviewed about the identified burned dead body of Magda Soliman. The Newscaster on that news video clip was Christianna Tuazon.

For more information, Christianna made a documentary titled "The Darkness of San Ildefonso" it's about Magda Soliman as an evil terrorist and murderer in town which garnered much praise and several awards both local and international. She was also the author of the book titled "Thousand of Ashes" referring to the bombings of some establishments which killed thousands of people. Her works about Magda Soliman and the bombings in San Ildefonso made her to become a famous journalist and got promoted as Newscaster in a number one TV Network in the country called Net45.

Christianna: Would you mind if I borrow Genesis for a while? We just have something private to talk about.

Daisy: I wouldn't say no.

Christianna: Thank you Daisy.

Gen: Are you sure?

Daisy: I'm fine Genesis.

Gen: I'll get back to you. Excuse us for a while.

They left Daisy alone for a private talk. But Daisy had this idea for what it was.

While Daisy is drinking wine and alone. She finally saw Giovanni entertaining and giving wine to the guests. She saw how very handsome Giovanni tonight as one of the Waiters of the event. She missed Giovanni's smile and she missed everything about him.

She was about to leave her place to approach Giovanni when Genesis and Christianna came to her.

Christianna: Thank you for your patience Daisy.

Daisy: Not a problem.

Gen: Let me just get a drink for us, excuse me.

Genesis left to get a wine for drink.

Christianna: So, you're just the new lady in town? Your beauty is enchanting.

Daisy: Yes and Wow! Thank you. To be honest, when I met you earlier, I got really starstruck that Christianna Tuazon an awarded journalist both local and international was in front of me and a friend of my new friend in town. I really admire you very much. What's your secret to your success?

Christianna laughs at what she had heard.

Christianna: You're welcome and thank you too. I don't know what to say. Maybe, I'm a person with perseverance, patience, and dedication. You know without them, success has no meaning. In addition, I do not wait for opportunity, I create it. I followed my passion and did not look for a paycheck right away. Because success doesn't come to you, you go to it.

But Daisy is sure that Christianna sold her soul to SCORPIA in order to achieve her dreams in life.

Christianna three years ago was about to give up her career as she was not improving. Until SCORPIA made her an offer to write and make a documentary against Magda Soliman which started her career to bloom.

Daisy: You even forgot the word sacrifice. I'm certain that you even sacrificed your soul just to reach the c****x of success you are aiming for.

Christianna is confused about what Daisy had said.

Christianna: Sacrificed my soul, you mean?

Daisy: I mean, you sacrificed your time for your family, friends and special someone.

But Daisy's question was meant to Christianna's soul being sold to SCORPIA.

Christianna: Oh! Always! That was the difficult ladder I climbed to. Fortunately, I am able to manage it now.

Veronica: Time management, you mean.

Veronica joined their conversation.

Christianna: Exactly!

When Christianna turned around, she was overjoyed when she saw Veronica.

Christianna: Veronica, it's you! I missed you very much.

They both kissed on their cheeks.

Veronica: I missed you too. I was surprised to see the two of you having a conversation. Have you known each other for so long?

Christianna: It was Genesis who introduced us earlier.

Veronica: Well, Daisy is a new neighbor in town. She lives next to our house.

Christianna: The Renaissance one?

Veronica: Precisely!

Christianna: That property was the most expensive in the market. What a well-off neighbor we have in town.

Veronica: Speaking of the property, I thought you preferred a cape cod home style and not a huge modern one, what happened?

Christianna can't relate to what Veronica had said to Daisy.

Daisy: I hope Queen Veronica it does not sound that you are frightened of having me as your neighbor. You can't blame me by telling you this, as that's what Mr. Escordia told me.

And there's another woman who had just entered the event that drew people's attention too. She's wearing a skintone silver gown full of beading stones and showing off her cleavage. And she is Dolores Chua and approaching to the three women when she saw Veronica.

Daisy: In addition, after the scandal of Councilor Philip Dy and Dolores, who else would have an interest to buy his house? I think, almost everybody wishes not to get involved.

Daisy sees Dolores behind Veronica.

Daisy: And speaking of her, I think she's looking for you Veronica.

Veronica: I'm sorry?

Daisy: Look behind you.

As Veronica looked behind her, she saw Dolores.

Veronica: Dolores? Oh, Wow! After the scandal you went through, It looks like you're adding more shame to your vulgar gown.

Dolores: Why Veronica? Are you envious of what I am wearing right now?

Veronica: Unfortunately, I don't like the words I heard from you my dear friend.

Dolores: Oh! Really? We used to be good friends, Veronica, what happened?

Dolores came close to Veronica's ear and whispered it.

Dolores: You and I have unfinished business.

Daisy saw Dolores' angry eyes on Veronica and she seemed to like what she saw.

Meanwhile, Christianna still doesn't know what's going on between these two.

Christianna: Is there a problem between the two of you?

Dolores just raised her eyebrow at Christianna and didn't answer the question.

Veronica: I don't have any idea what you're saying.

Dolores: Stop pretending Veronica! I know that you have something to do with the shame I have had.

Veronica: I was there to support your masterpiece!

Dolores: I'm no longer a 5-year-old child to believe what you say.

Veronica: Do you have proof?

Dolores: Ask your husband.

Daisy was surprised about what she heard from Dolores against Veronica.

Arjun's Secretary approached Dolores.

Secretary: Ms. Dolores Chua, I'm afraid to let you know that you're not invited to this event.

Veronica is laughing about what the Secretary had said to Dolores.

Dolores: Arjun and I are friends.

Secretary: My apologies but this event is exclusive for those who have Charitable Institution. Do you have yours?

Veronica: I'm afraid to say that my dear friend Dolores Chua was never been a Philanthropist. You may now leave.

Dolores: Remember this Veronica, an evil like you will have an evil end too.

As Dolores turned away, she was hit by a Waitress by accident and her gown got wet because of the wine. Something that pissed her off.

Dolores: Holy s**t! What have you done ?! You don't even look where you are going! You're such a dirt beneath our feet! A vagabond in the earth! And useless in this event!

People are shocked by what they are witnessing.

Waitress is hurt by Dolores' repeated words to her. But she remembered that this was the trending mistress lately.

Waitress: I'm maybe a dirt beneath your feet but I'm not a mistress like you! I'm maybe impotent but my job is noble! What about you as a mistress, f**k buddy, number two, and a snake? Do you still have dignity left?

Dolores: Shut up!

Waitress: Shut up your face! You're such a flirty hairy caterpillar!

*Hairy Caterpillar in Filipino's language and metaphorically expression refers to a person whose private part is itching for s*x*

Daisy and Veronica are thrilled with what they are witnessing.

Dolores: You'll never stop!

Dolores was about to slap the Waitress but a Marshal came guarded her and took her out at the event.

Dolores: Ahhh! Don't touch me! Get off of me you have germs and viruses!

Many people applauded the Waitress after the incident. Even Daisy and Veronica can't stop clapping and smiling too.

Daisy: It's an infinite mortification Dolores and you will never escape it until you die.

Daisy's words on her mind while smiling and watching Dolores forced exit at the event.

Announcer: The show is over but it isn't the highlight of this event and my apologies for the unexpected scene you've just witnessed. May I request everybody to please proceed to your assigned table as we are about to start. Thank you for your cooperation.

Each table has a Charitable Organization name except Escor Corp's investors and shareholders who have their own VIP tables.

As everyone made their way to their tables, Daisy immediately called Loward.

Daisy: Be ready!

She dropped off the call after the two words she said and she's smiling like a devil as her plans to Arjun Escordia's downfall is about to begin.
