Chapter 5

The day has come and I really don't want to get out of bed. Last night was the first night that Ethan hadn't spent with me and I missed him so bad. I rolled over and sat up in bed. This is going to be a long day. My aunt caused a scene last night so I can only image how she is going to act today. She is the reason that Ethan did not spend the night last night. Something about how disrespectful it was for him and I to sleep in the same room during a time like this and how boys his age are only concerned with getting one thing and my father needed to be careful with it. Although dad said Ethan could stay he decided against it being that my aunt had such a strong opinion about it. Jazz eventually put her in her place but that did not stop the stares and the following us around to see what me and Ethan was doing. The crazy thing is all he was doing was reassuring me that it would be ok. Today though I am  ready to get this fake funeral over with. . Our parents have been numb and don't know how to cope. They have never lost a child. My father had preached a lot of Eulogies but not one for someone so close to his heart. This was the first time that I can remember dad not asking me to take a look at a sermon that he was going to deliver. I wish he would have let one of the associate ministers do it but he is adamant about preaching my brother's funeral. Also the bombing of the church was an attempt to kill me.

"Ameris the car will be here to get us soon are you up and ready? Also I am sending a friend up to see you." My dad calls out to me. "I'm up. Ok. I'm just getting ready to get in the shower." I reply. The only friend that could possibly be coming to see me is Kesha or Skye so I continue to get ready. As I stand in my panties and bra I hear a voice that is neither Kesha or Skye

"Damn girl you sexy." Ethan says. I grab my robe to cover up. "What are you doing here my father will kill you if he knows you have seen me like that." I say as I run into his arms. Kissing him. He runs his hands up my legs, stopping to palm my ass the pulls me closer deepening our kiss. I can feel his manhood harden as we are embraced. He pulls away. "You are going to get me killed Princess." He says. "I'm almost ready and will meet you down stairs then. I love you bae." I say and kiss him again. "I love you too. Meet you down stairs." Ethan replies.

After the service the 7 of us waited while everyone else walked back to the church with our parents. "When are we getting him back and revenge for almost blowing her up?" Dez says with out looking up. "Do she need to know what the plan is? How much does she know?" Chris asked. "Stop talking about me like I'm not here. I know enough." I say. "No Ameris you don't. Go inside with mom and dad leave this to us." Jazz says coldly. "He was my brother too you know." I say. "GO INSIDE." Jared yells.

I run away from them tears running down my face. I should be used to my brothers pushing me out of their business. This time I had the upper hand. I still had Austin's phone and the number he called me from. Not looking where I was going I am suddenly stopped when I run into a wall or well what felt like a wall. "Watch where you are going." He growled. "I'm sorry. I didn't see you." I replied. He turned around and I smile. It's my uncle Mel. He looks at me and instantly softens. "Pecan. I been looking for you. Your dad said you and the boys stayed out with Austin til he was buried. Well I see you didn't." He says. "Hey uncle Mel. I missed you. Yeah we were but I couldn't take it. My twin the one person I shared almost everything with is gone." I lied. I didn't want him to know my brothers wanted blood. "The boys will be in soon. They were almost finished when I ran off. Where is my dad?" I reply. My uncle points me in my dad's direction and he heads towards my brothers.

"Daddy I really don't want to eat. Do you care if I leave with Kesha and Skye?" I ask. "I think you need to stay here with the family and eat." My stepmother says. "Well I don't care what you think. I asked my father not you. And I'm sure he has a mouth and can answer for himself. You don't tell me what I can and can't do. He does." I snap and people stare to see her response. "You can leave princess." My dad says.

I grab Kesha and Skye and we leave. Mason and Ethan are not far behind.

Mason and Kesha head straight to her room. We dropped Skye off at home so that her and the baby could rest. Ethan walks up and grab me from behind. I melt into his arms. "Did you have to do that in front of everyone? Damn Bae she didn't deserve that. I know you and her have never gotten along and I know she can't replace your mom but she has helped your dad raise you and your brothers cut her some slack. She loved him too." He says pulling me back to him. "I probably shouldn't have but she pissed me off. I asked my dad not her. She had no right to say anything to me." I hiss breaking away from him. "Damn you sexy when you mad." He says.

I turn and looked at him "Ethan I need your help with something. But you have to promise not to say anything to anyone. Including my brothers. Especially Jazz." I say "What's wrong?" He says "Promise me first and I will tell you in the car."

"I promise." "Let's go." I grab the keys and we head out the door.

"He is alive. I have seen him and I know he is alive." I tell Ethan. Who looks scared as hell. "Who's alive babe?" "Austin." Ethan pulls over "What are you talking about. We just left his funeral how is he still alive? Someone is f*****g with you baby girl." He says. "I know what I saw. Why do you think I know about the old church blowing up?!?! My brother is alive and I'm going to find him and bring him home." "We all know about the church blowing up for god sakes it was on the news." "Well I was there when it blew up and I know Austin was in there but made it out."

"Ameris do you hear yourself? Even if he was alive how would you find him? How would we find him?" Ethan asked.

"We aren't going to find. I am. Ethan I love you and I know whatever my brother has gotten himself into is dangerous. I don't want to see anything happen to you. I know Jazz has told you if anything happens to me while we are together he will kill you and I'm not going to let that happen. So I'm taking you back to Kesha's if anyone ask you came looking for me and I was gone. Please don't try and talk me out of this. I have to do this alone. He said so." Ethan looks at me like I'm crazy but says fine and turns the car back around. When we got back to Kesha's house Dez is there.

"Where are you two coming from?" He ask

"We just went riding so we could talk with out disturbing the love bugs upstairs. Plus I didn't want to hear my best friend bang his best friend." I tell him. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to get Ethan and Mason." He says.

"You knew he was coming to get you so that's why we had to rush back?" I ask Ethan.

"I'm sorry baby girl. I promise I will be back soon." He says and kisses my cheek. I roll my eyes and say fine. Knowing I will most likely be gone before he returns.

"Ameris stay put. I'm not playing with you. If you leave his house I swear"

"You are not my dad so therefore you do not tell me where I can and cannot go. So go on about your business and let me be about mine."

I go inside and slam the door.

Kesha is half dressed half naked. "Ugh why do they have to go to work right this moment?!?" She says "I know me and Ethan was headed to Lookout point but he turned around after he got the text."

"Let go to the mall."

"I will be ready in 5."
