Chapter Nineteen
Kathrine gave herself the next two days off. She had added seven-thousand dollars to the safe at Comfort Cottage and was living well enough off her tips. She was determined to save enough money to finance the game herself in the event Martin got his underwear in a knot and decided to pull out. Johnny would probably leave as well but she figured she could still count on Sean; at least for a few games.
She dropped by Martin’s beach house on Wednesday morning and settled up with him at the front door. She didn’t get an invite inside.
